DecoTurf has been honored to be a part of the growth in this event over the last two years.

We are proud of the reputation that this event has earned as one of the most presitigous high school tennis events in the country. This event wouldn’t be possible without the support of our volunteers, staff and sponsors and our host city Louisville, which has been a fantastic host for the past six years.

As a major sponsor of tennis throughout the world, DecoTurf is especially proud to take part in this event, due to the high caliber of play exhibited by the great programs that participate in this event. The level of competition makes this one of our favorite tennis events to be a part of.

As a member of the tournamament staff I strive to continue to bring the highestquality high school tennis programs to Louisville for this event. The level of tennis competition seen during the DecoTurf High School Tennis Team Championships certainly fulfills our mission, and we know that the spectators and participants alike will be thrilled by the excitement sure to come during the course of the next two weekends.

We look forward to continuing our sponsorship of this event in the future, and continuing to be a part of the growth of this event. On behalf of the members of DecoTurf and its staff, welcome to Louisville and the DecoTurf High School Tennis Team Championships and good luck to all the teams competing in this prestigious event.

If both players/teams have won three points each, the score is “deuce” and a deciding point shall be played. The receiver(s) shall choose whether to receive the service from the right half or the left half of the court. In doubles, the players of the receiving team cannot change positions to receive this deciding point. The player/team who wins the deciding point wins the “game”.

Match-TieBreak Scoring Format: When the score in a match is one set all, in a singles match, one tie-break game shall be played to decide the match. This tie-break game replaces the deciding final set. The player who first wins ten points shall win this match tie-break and the match provided there is a margin of two points over the opponent. When using the match tie-break to replace the final set: • the original order of service continues. • in doubles, the order of serving and receiving within the team may be altered, as in the beginning of each set. • before the start of the match tie-break there shall be a 120 seconds set break. Abandoning Matches: All Tournament matches shall be played to completion. Matches will NOT be abandoned once the resultt of the dual match has been determined, unless there are extenuating circumstances, such as inclement weather or when deemed necessary by the tournament committee.
