CONGRATS TO OUR INAUGURAL HALL OF FAME CLASS! 4

HANNAH BELSINGER SPIRIT OF TENNIS AWARD “Sometimes the bad things that happen in our lives are what lead us to the best things that will ever happen to us.” -- Hannah Belsinger Hannah Belsinger is an 18 year old Senior at Barron Collier High School in Naples, Florida. In the spring of 2013 she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She went through treatments and was in remission in December 2013. In the spring 2014 Hannah returned to the tennis court for Barron Collier helping lead the Cougars to a 5th place finish at the DecoTurf High School Tennis Team Championships. Hannah went on to the State Championship for the No. 2 Singles position, a highlight at the end of her treatment. In November 2014 Hannah found out her cancer was back. Mid-way through her senior year Hannah wanted nothing more than to return to the court to lead the Barron Collier tennis team as their lone senior. In January 2015 just as plans were being made for Barron Collier to return to the DecoTurf High School Tennis Team Championships, Hannah received news from her doctor that she would need to travel to Boston for a bone marrow transplant. Beginning this year we will award the Hannah Belsinger Spirit of Tennis Award to one male and one female tennis player that exhibit the same special love of the game that Hannah has. We wish Hannah all the best in her recovery and hope that her story can be an inpiration to players across the country.
