Con los últimos pliegos de la edición de La Revista Sotogrande que sostiene sobre sus manos, con el robo de unos afortunados minutos por mi parte, me da tiempo a recoger un hecho que en el futuro será determinante para el golf profesional y por lo tanto, para destinos tan vinculados a la práctica de este deporte y sede de eventos de gran nivel internacional como Sotogrande, y más especialmente: Real Club Valderrama, como en el inminente torneo que disfrutaremos en cuestión de días.

La puesta en común de intereses y una alianza que parecía inevitable pero que hasta ahora no se ha plasmado con tinta real, entre LIV Golf, PGA y DP World, vaticinan un sólido y contundente futuro para los principales organismos del golf profesional. Todo apuntaba a que estaban condenados a entenderse, por el bien del aficionado, del jugador y especialmente por el bien del golf; pero ya puede presumir este bendito deporte de contar con una salud y un futuro formidable.

Mientras tanto, como sede en los próximos años de LIV Golf, el Real Club Valderrama y su torneo (quién sabe si éste será el único en la zona), saldrá más reforzado y aún con mayores perspectivas internacionales y de premios. Una alianza permitiría ver a los mejores jugadores del planeta, de cualquiera de sus circuitos, peleando por lo más alto en Valderrama, en Sotogrande. ¡Menuda fortuna de vivir el golf y de vivir en esta urbanización!

Por lo demás, viene un verano de infarto: Polo con 22 goles de Alto, regatas, cumpleaños [entre ellos el 25 aniversario de El Periódico de Sotogrande y el 60 de Sotogrande®], conciertos, presentaciones y muchas sorpresas más. ¡Disfrútenlo! Ah, se me olvidaba, también nos toca volver a votar.

With the last few pages of the edition of Sotogrande Magazine that you are holding, robbing a few fortunate minutes, I have time to outline a fact which will be decisive for professional golf in the future and therefore, for destinations so closely linked to the practice of this sport and a venue for events of a great international level such as Sotogrande, and most especially: Real Club Valderrama, such as at the imminent tournament that we will enjoy in a matter of days.

The pooling of interests and a partnership that seemed inevitable but which thus far had not manifested itself in a real way, between LIV Golf, PGA and DP World, points to a strong and resounding future for the main professional golf bodies. Everything suggested that they were condemned to get along, for the good of fans, players and especially, for the good of golf; but this blessed sport can already boast of having good health and a fantastic future.

Meanwhile, as a venue over the coming years of LIV Golf, Real Club Valderrama and its tournament (who knows if this will be the only one in the area), will be further strengthened and with greater international prospects and prizes. A partnership that could make it possible to see the best players in the world, from any of its circuits, battling it out for the top spot at Valderrama, in Sotogrande. How lucky we are to enjoy golf and to live in this resort!

Otherwise, we have a heart stopping summer ahead: Polo with 22 goals in the High Handicap category, regattas, birthdays (including the 25th anniversary of El Periódico de Sotogrande and the 60th of Sotogrande®], concerts, presentations and many more surprises. Enjoy it! Ahh, and I forget, we also have to vote again.
