Don Diego boasts Q for Quality in Madrid

Restaurante Don Diego, located in the heart of Sotogrande Marina, once again sealed the Q for Quality award this year, which like every year, is awarded during the celebration of the International Tourism Fair in Madrid (Fitur). The Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality (ICTE) awarded Don Diego with the Q mark as an award recognising tourist organisations and services that, voluntarily, have committed to improving their level of customer service and internal functioning by implementing a quality management system.

The owner of the establishment, Juan Moncayo, received the award from the minister Reyes Maroto at a gala held at the Glass Gallery of the Palace of Cibeles.

The mayor of San Roque, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, and the head of Tourism, Ana Ruiz, congratulated the owner of the establishment, Juan Moncayo, who received this award during the celebration of the 43rd edition of Fitur. It is necessary to remember that each year the ICTE carries out audits of facilities and tourist services that have been awarded the Q for Quality in order to decide if they can keep the certification or not.

During the auditing process, aspects are evaluated relating to the quality management system, the suitability and functioning of human resources, infrastructures and the provision of services by the Municipal Tourism Office. The awards, either for new establishments and companies, or the renewal of the certification, are presented during the celebration of the International Tourism Fair in Madrid (FITUR).

The Q for Tourism Quality is the brand that represents quality in the Spanish tourism sector. The “Q” provides tou- rist establishments that hold it with prestige, distinction, reliability, thoroughness and promotion from the Secretary of State for Tourism and Autonomous Communities.
