GOAL 2 COMPREHENSIVE GOAL 1.2 HEALTH & CHILD HEALTH DEVELOPMENT

Children, prenatal through age 5, and their families access the full spectrum of health and behavioral health services needed to support their healthy physical and social-emotional development and overall health.

280 children served with PCIT. (98.2% accomplishment)

1,656 mothers continued to exclusively breastfeed at 6 months. (132.5% accomplishment)

5 Mission Scholarships* awarded since 2013 *"Mission" Scholarship awarded annually to one (1) student at UCR School of Medicine to remain in Riverside County as a Primary Care Pediatrician.

Drowning Prevention

412 children received water safety classes/swim lessons. (48.1% accomplishment) 539 parents/caregivers and community members participated in water safety workshops.* *No projections assigned.

Families and communities are engaged, supported, and strengthened through culturally effective resources and opportunities that assist them in nurturing, caring, and providing for their children's success and well-being.

Funded agencies provide services to families in residential and transitional housing to stabilize families in crisis.

85 unique children in residential and transitional housing received high quality child care services. (87.6% accomplishment)

Home visits provided to families including expectant and new mothers who are at risk socially and emotionally for child abuse, neglect and other adverse childhood experiences.

89 mothers and 166 children at risk of ACES received comprehensive home visitation services. (68.5% and 127.7% accomplishment respectively)

Provision of child care services for children who are living with their grandparents.

44 children (monthly average) living with their grandparents received full-time and respite child care. (88% accomplishment)

Success Story Quality Start Riverside County Quality Start Riverside County Site Increases Quality

The Quality Start coach provided individualized coaching and resources that increased self confidence of classroom management strategies, improved teacherchild interactions, and provided a learning environment for rich opportunities for children to learn and grow. As a result, the classroom demonstrated an increased score of the Environment Rating Scale (ERS) and Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) which resulted in an increase in the sites tier rating. -- Laura Martinez, QSRC Coach
