SUCCESS STORIES San Gorgonio Hospital Breastfeeding Home Visitation "We had a client who resided in Blythe who called for a home visit because no one had been able to determine why her newborn was vomiting and had bloody stools. Following our assessment, we determined the baby was unable to move it's tongue at all...due to severe lip and tongue tie. When we first arrived, she broke into tears because she was so worried we weren't coming because of the excessive distance to her home. Her plan of care required a RN-toMD consult from her home...The MD recognized an Ear Nose Throat referral was needed and made the referral that day. The baby was seen by a specialist within 48 hours. The tongue and lip tie were released and the blood in the stool, feeding problems, and incessant crying stopped almost instantly."

SoCal Water Babies Drowning Prevention "With summer quickly approaching and our 3 strong swimmers already playfully splashing through our pool, we decided our fourth child was going to need an extra layer of protection in our hectic home. That’s when we found SoCal Water Babies and their Infant Survival Float program. Cathryn’s patient and informative lessons each week turned our chunky six month old into a little floater and gave us that added layer of protection – knowing that if he ever ended up in the pool unattended, he’d have a better chance at survival. We are eternally grateful for SoCal Water Babies and their commitment to water safety. We might not have been able to make the financial stretch to get our son private lessons at such a young age had it not been for SoCal Water Babies and their phenomenal Grant Program. The discounts their grant offered made it a no-brainer." First 5 Riverside Final Agency Progress Report FY 2017/2018
