Steering Group
ECOLINK+ will set up and manage the Steering Group (SG) of the European Eco-Innovation Platform (Eco-IP) bringing together the eco-innovation related projects financed under Europe INNOVA. The aim of the SG is to ensure: Overall coherence in the activities of the sectoral partnerships working on environmental themes; Synergies with other EU initiatives and projects and partnerships both within and outside Europe INNOVA The SG is expected to meet regularly over the whole duration of ECOLINK+ and will act as a common interface for the Eco-IP to relate to the EU policy debate on eco-innovation support The key objectives of the SG are to: Favour the absorption of project’s results, the performance of joint activities and the generation of cross-fertilisation;
A better exploitation of the results of the Europe INNOVA Eco-Innovation Platform! ECOLINK+ is the horizontal support action of the European Eco-Innovation Platform (Eco-IP) to strengthen Europe’s eco-innovation community by: Providing guidance to Eco-IP partnerships with the objective to:
Empowering Eco-Innovation !
Exploit results to the greatest extent; Identify and exploit potential synergies among the partnerships; Place the most important and influential issues at the centre of policy debate on eco-innovation support; Setting up the ECOLINK+ 100 Business Club, gathering emerging and top-performing European eco-innovators. Members will receive opportunities to network, access services and financial partners and become visible internationally; Ensuring the highest visibility to services developed under Europe INNOVA, bringing them to a wide range of policy-makers, innovation service providers and stakeholders.

Extract policy recommendations on eco-innovation support to contribute to the policy debate; Maximise the impact at regional level of the innovative support tools developed under the Eco-IP, through efficient collaboration with TAKE IT UP, Europe INNOVA promotion pillar.

Through eight trans-regional events, ECOLINK+ will showcase regions strongly believing in eco-innovation, acting as a platform to develop business relationships with peers, investors and service providers. ECOLINK+ will launch its 100 Business Club (BC) gathering the 100 most-promising and topperforming eco-innovative businesses at EU level. Direct applications from regions that have established a list of top eco-innovators in their area will be accepted. This may be the case for regions that have already been able to identify suitable candidates through organising an event, a competition, a survey or a study. BC members will have the privilege of being part of a European excellence network in eco-innovation and will also have access to a wide range of high value-added services. BC members will have the opportunity to: Gain EU level visibility through the development of video-presentations of the companies and their eco-innovative solution to be published on the Europe INNOVA portal; Receive exclusive, high quality information by accessing the ECOLINK+ online platform, where they will be to find relevant and updated news on innovation support services for ecoinnovative companies; Access to investors and European markets through a series of ECOLINK+ Annual Networking events open to BC members only.
