Cette année Espaces contemporains fête ses 15 ans ! Si nos éditions sont désormais une référence sur le marché suisse en tant que plateforme d’information en matière d’architecture, de design et de décoration, nous ne restons pas pour autant campés sur nos positions. Bien au contraire. En 2019, nous nous sommes ouverts à des domaines connexes et de nouveaux projets éditoriaux sont d’ores et déjà en gestation. Édité à l’occasion de cet anniversaire, l’ouvrage que vous avez entre les mains concrétise notre volonté d’explorer de nouveaux champs, notamment en investiguant l’aménagement des espaces collectifs, qu’ils soient de travail ou d’hospitalité. Les pages qui suivent offrent un aperçu, richement illustré, de la mutation de ces espaces qui sont également des lieux de vie. Ce numéro spécial se veut aussi un remerciement à nos partenaires et aux marques qui nous soutiennent depuis nos débuts. This year, Espaces contemporains is celebrating its 15th year! While our publications are now a benchmark in the Swiss market as a leading resource for architecture, design, and decoration, we certainly aren’t resting on our laurels – on the contrary. In 2019, we opened up to related fields, and new editorial projects are already in the making. Issued on the occasion of this anniversary, the publication you hold embodies our desire to explore new fields – notably by delving into how collective spaces are being development, be these in office or hospitality environments. The following pages offer a richly illustrated overview of the transformation of these spaces which also serve as living areas. This special issue is also a thank you to our partners and those brands that have supported us since our very beginnings.

Au cœur du complexe, un réseau d’allées sinueuses posées sur l’eau des piscines conduit à l’un des trois restaurants de la résidence abrité par une étonnante canopée évoquant un nid d’oiseau géant.
At the heart of the complex, a network of winding paths laid on the pools’ surface leads to one of the residence’s three restaurants which is sheltered by a stunning canopy evoking an enormous bird’s nest.
La récente rénovation de cet hôtel idéalement situé au centre de Zurich se caractérise par une réinterprétation contemporaine de l’esprit Art déco. Les nouvelles chambres se parent de subtils accords de couleur dans un jeu de matières et de motifs. Ideally located in central Zurich, this hotel’s recent renovation is a modern reinterpretation of the Art Deco spirit. The new rooms are a subtle dance of colour, fabric, and patterns.

Le décor est rythmé par des suspensions dorées, coordonnées aux photophores et décorations de table. Poufs en velours jaune et coussins dynamisent les sofas. The décor is punctuated by golden hanging lamps that coordinate with candleholders and table decorations. Yellow velvet poufs and cushions add a pop of colour to the sofas.

Le bâtiment se caractérise par un concept architectural aussi sensible à son environnement qu’à ses utilisateurs. With its multiple relaxation and meeting areas furnished with comfortable armchairs and leather sofas, the NOVE office building’s reception area feels like a luxury hotel lobby. The building is the embodiment of an architectural concept that is as sensitive to its environment as it is to its users.
