Chapter 1
How It All Began
O
nce a National Service man whose name was Captern had just finished his military training. NOW HE WAS A SERGEANT! But he was the best sergeant because he always told the funniest jokes. Sadly, his friend Bob was jealous of him and got angry because he felt like Captern was getting all the credit. So one night, Bob switched Captern’s bedroom sign and the radioactive room sign. An hour later, Sergeant Captern felt sleepy. “Goodnight guys,” said Captern. “Goodnight,” said the trainers. So Captern made his way to his bedroom. “The door looks strange…” Captern thought to himself. The door went, “CREEEEAAAK!” The room looked strange too. “BOOM!” The door suddenly closed. “I..I…I f..f..feel s..s.. strange,” said Captern as he collapsed. Soon after, Bob opened the door and went inside the room to see Captern unconscious on the floor. He said, ”Mission successful.”

Chapter 2
His Superpowers
C
aptern woke up half-conscious the next day and realised he was inside Raffles Hospital after seeing the logo on the wall. “How’s Captern going? Is he stable?” asked Captern’s boss from outside the door. “We don’t know yet,” the doctor said. Suddenly, Captern flew off uncontrollably, smashing two hospital windows and collapsing one building before reaching his house. He realised that he had acquired superpowers because of the chemicals in the radioactive room. Confused and frightened, Captern thought about who might come after him…wait…no...what might come after him. As his thoughts mixed up in his head, there was a loud knocking at the door. ”Knock, knock...” a familiar deep voice said. ”Sergeant Captern… the boss is looking for you. Open up!” “I know that voice...” he whispered under his breathe. Curious, Captern peeked through the peephole and said, “Uh oh.” “BOOM!” The soldiers kicked the door open. “Hands up!” they said, as they paraded into his house.

“Bye!” said Captern as he burst out of the roof. “CRAAASSSHHH!”
Nowhere to go, Captern flew towards the abandoned mall that held joyful memories of a former lifetime. It was where he and his friend John used to hangout every day after school. Unfortunately, it closed down after being bankrupt a few years back. He realised that since it held such fond memories of his friend, it could be his secret hideout. Since then, Captern started practicing his superpowers. There were times when he felt lonely and there were times when he felt free. But during the times he felt lonely, he would tell very hilarious jokes to himself. “Knock, knock? Whose there? Commercial Break. Commercial Break who? Its’s time for Commercial Break, da, da, du. It’s time for Commercial Break do da da. It’s time for Commercial Break,” he told himself.

Chapter 3
Get Ready
O
ne day, while Captern was thinking of a costume and a superhero name, he thought of calling himself Captain Captain, while he thought of Captain America. He then created a dark blue costume that looked like an armour. When the amour was finished, he found it was as strong as titanium and was as powerful as nuclear energy. He named the armour “Super-Mega High-tech Extreme Ultra Cool Awesome Captain Captain Suit”. Captain Captain tested it a few times – over fire, water, stone, wind – and it was incredible! He also built radar into it to monitor the crime on the streets of Singapore. “BEEP BEEP!” the radar alerted. Immediately, Captain Captain hopped into his Cap Car – one of his other new inventions – and dashed into action. When he arrived at the crime scene, he saw two robbers trying to escape the bank entrance. He quickly got out and caught the robbers by their feet, throwing them into the nearest garbage bin. “You have lots of nerve coming to my city,” Captain Captain said.

They were still scrambling in fear when suddenly, “BBBBBZZZZZ!!!” They got struck by lightning! BBBBBZZZZZ!!! Captain Captain heaved a sigh of relief. “Another successful day,” he said to himself. Still at the scene, a newscaster pushed his away between the crowd of onlookers who have started gathering in from of the bank. He then started to interview Captain Captain. ”How would our city’s hero like to end this show?” the newscaster asked. ”Maybe a joke can end the show… What do you call a deer with no eyes?” Captain Captain asked. ”What?” asked the newscaster. “The answer is, no I deeryah,” Captain Captain chuckled as he flew away from the scene. Back at his base, he told himself, ”I wonder why Bob put me in the radioactive room?” He thought and thought about it some more, until finally, he got the answer: it was because he was jealous.

Chapter 4
The Power of Bob
M
eanwhile, out of jealousy, Bob was trying to give himself superpowers like Captern… but stronger. So, with sweaty palms, he went into the Radioactive Room, which by now was filled with much more chemicals than before. He told himself, “Get ready…” as he jumped into the pool of chemicals. He tried to catch his breath and said unstably ,”I…I…I d..don’t…f…f…feel so g…good…” He fainted as his body sunk into into the depths of the chemical pool. When Bob woke up, he found himself in the same hospital as Captern. From outside his room, he heard his boss say, “Is this a virus?” The doctor replied, “We do not know yet.’’ Suddenly, Bob flew out of the hospital, the same way Captern did before but much faster! He had only one thing in his mind — to find Captern. The boss’ eyes opened wide. Shocked to see this happen twice, the boss mumbled to himself, “I’ve had better days!’’ From above the city, Bob finally found Captern! Charging at him,

Bob threw a powerful kick at him in the face. POW! “Hi Captern! Nice to meet you again,” Bob said. “My name is not Captern... my name is Captain-Captain!” he said confidently as he shot lasers from his fingers. Bob caught it with his hand and said, “Is that all you’ve got?” BOOM! He fired back but now it was much BIGGER than Captain Captain’s. Captain Captain flew far away, trying to get to safety. Mockingly, Bob said, “Are you scared, Captain Captain?” Bob followed Captain Captain into an abandoned building. He stopped for a while and used his fart powers to distract Bob. He then tried to punch him but Bob caught his punch and said, “I am just getting stronger! You cannot hide from me Captain-Captain!” Bob then gathered some stray metal from a wrecked building and built a powerful ROBOT using his superpowers. In response, Captain Captain used his super-mega-extremepowerful-laser-huge punch but it didn’t even dent the robot. ”Bob is too powerful,” he said to himself. “Your hopeless now….. It’s time to get ALL OF YOUR POWERS!” Bob said. Bob commanded all the citizens and Captain-Captain to go to an underground jail under the padang. Some citizens tried to attack Bob but failed. Captain-Captain’s best friend, John, who was in the same cell as him said. “I’m sorry, Captern. I didn’t know Bob was in this.” ”Its all right. It’s my fault. I was not a good friend to him.” Captern sadly replied. John tried to cheer him up. “What do you call a movie that is

Hopeless
about farming?” he asked. “Corny,” Captain-Captain said sadly. “Come on! Maybe this joke will cheer you up… What do you call earth with no art?” asked John. “I do not know,” said Captain-Captain “The answer is Eh” said John, slapping Captain by the shoulder. “HAHAHAHA!” laughed Captain-Captain. “I cheered you up right?” asked John. “Stop cheering me up. We are hopeless. There is nothing we can do!” Captain-Captain shouted. “Oh look! We can break the wall and get back to the surface,” said John happily. “How are we going to do that? Like I said we are hopeless,” said Captain-Captain sadly. “Ok then, if you want to be negative I will just be here at the side TRYING TO USE THIS SPADE TO DIG MYSELF FREE unless you wanna come help, Captern?” said John.

“Wha—ALL THIS TIME AND YOU DIDN’T TELL ME YOU HAD SOMETHING USEFUL TO GET US OUT OF THIS STINKING JAIL CELL?!” Captain-Captain exclaimed. So they dug their way out back onto the surface and saw Bob guarding the prison and Captern butted him in the face. ‘P O W!’ “Good head-butt, Captain-Captain but is that all you got!?” Bob mocked. Bob flew straight into space thinking he would win against Captern. His plan was simple: he would zoom back down to earth as fast as light and hit Captain Captain as hard as he could. He did so and was about to punch Captain-Captain but our hero caught Bob’s fist with his right hand and took half of Bob’s power. At that point, they started fighting THE GREAT FIGHT.

Chapter 6
The Great Fight
Y
ou will obviously lose this fight! You are no match for me!” Bob said. He then got some broken car parts from a nearby junk shop and swung it against Captain-Captain. Captern caught all these and said, “I’LL NEVER GIVE UP ON THIS COUNTRY! EVEN IF I NEED TO SACRIFICE MY LIFE!” Using his incredible speed and thinking powers he created a giant robot lion. “Why did you create a giant robot lion and not a giant robot human?” Bob asked. Captain-Captain replied, “I need something different.” “NOW THE ODDS ARE EVEN!,” he told himself. Captern flew up, went into his robot and hit Bob with its claws using the controllers. On the other hand, Bob got on to his human-like robot too and shouted, “You are too weak.” Bob’s robot shot lasers at Captain-Captain’s robot and ”BBBOOOMMM!” Captain-Captain and his robot lion were now on the ground. Suddenly, out of nowhere, help arrived! There were soldiers, the Navy and other Singaporeans. They attacked Bob’s robot from all

sides. PEW! CRASH! BAM! BOOM! CRASH! BAM! PEW! BOOM! BAM!” Bob had only one choice: to use his mega-super-ultraextremely-big ray gun. With one shot, most of the citizens were burned down to their bones. Now, they only had one chance to use their most powerful weapon. Bob shouted from inside his robot, “Do you have any last words?” They replied almost in unison, “Yes, we have! We learnt that the ground would always catch you whenever you fall…” “Okay then,” Bob said with an evil smirk. He blasted his super-mega-ultra-large-enormous ray gun onto them. The army and the citizens shot all their guns, tanks and Captern’s powers to hold the blast. One by one, citizens started to give up and then it was only Captain Captain blasting his laser. He suddenly sucked all the power he could absorb and fired back at Bob, who was then pushed forcefully into the sewage.

Chapter 7
The Last Chapter
C
aptain Captain heaved a sigh of relief and said, “Finally it’s over.” “WE DID IT!” the citizens rejoiced. The president ordered, ”Guards, secure Bob and take him away!” Turning to Captern, he said, “Congratulations Captain Captain. You saved the day… I would like to give you the key to the city for your bravery.” “No, thank you. I am fine,” Captain Captain said. ”Are you sure?” the president asked. ”I am sure,” Captain Captain said. ”Okay then,” the president said. Meanwhile in jail, Bob was wondering what he should do next. “That guy tricked me to be jealous at Captern. I need to say sorry to him.” Days later, he sent word to Captern and invited him over to visit him at his cell. ”What do you want from me?” Captern asked.
Bob replied, “A guy named Zeb tricked me to do all of this.” “Not him again.” Captern said.

Captern is a good soldier that was at the wrong room at the right time. After gaining powers from a radioactive room, he is then forced to battle with his friend who got jealous – enough to also get superpowers by ‘accident’.
