TO THE COLLEGIATE DECA ENGAGE CONFERENCE The past twenty months have presented all members with unprecedented challenges to their daily lives, academic careers and DECA journeys. The pandemic uprooted many things we all took for granted, among them in-person conferences. Well, good news... Collegiate DECA­members are back together in person! Over the next few days, you will engage in an immersive professional development experience that ensures you will walk away with improved skills to help you stand out among the competition. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with members, industry professionals and the Executive Officer Team. By the end, you’ll leave prepared to maximize your momentum for the rest of the year. In your free time, get out and explore the beautiful city of Austin, Texas—the live music capital of the world. While in Austin, take advantage of the opportunities for growth and learning that #CDECAEngage provides. HEALTH+SAFETY GUIDELINES

Your health and safety are important! We are excited to return to an in-person Engage and want to promote the health and safety of everyone involved. As part of our plans to host a safe event, please follow our event requirements and recommendations below to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

MASK UP Wearing a mask is required in all indoor spaces at Engage. Masks must be worn over the mouth and nose by everyone except when actively eating or drinking.

IF YOU’RE SICK, STAY BACK If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 less than 10 days before or any time while attending Engage, do not come to the event. Attendees who have suspected or confirmed COVID-19 illness are eligible to have most of their conference registration fee refunded with appropriate documentation.

FOLLOW TRAVEL GUIDELINES The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has guidelines for domestic travel during the COVID-19 pandemic. Scan the QR code to read more.

LIABILITY WAIVERS All participants must sign and return the COVID-19 Acknowledgment and Liability Waiver during on-site conference registration. DECA Inc. has implemented protective measures and protocols aimed at reducing the likelihood of spread of the novel coronavirus (“COVID-19”) between participants and others attending its events. These measures and protocols are designed to be consistent with current guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”), as well as state and local authorities. However, DECA Inc. cannot guarantee that event participants will not be exposed to COVID-19 while participating in or attending its events.
