Over 1,500 Collegiate DECA members, advisors and corporate partners have gathered for the pinnacle event of the DECA year, and we could not be more excited to spend the next four days creating new connections, engaging in challenging new adventures and celebrating incredible achievements with each of you. This year, DECA challenged you to take advantage of all the #Limitless opportunities available to you, and you surpassed our expectations in every way. You participated in Collegiate DECA’s Leadership Passport Program, created innovative new products in the DECA Idea Challenge, attended ENGAGE in New York City and conquered the competition to make it all the way to the international stage at #CDECAICDC. While #CDECAICDC is the most anticipated event of the year, the next four days you’ll spend in D.C. will certainly go by faster than you ever expected. Be sure to take advantage of every opportunity Collegiate DECA offers you this week, such as meeting incredible corporate partners in the professional development academies and in our exhibits, sharing your experiences on social media using #CDECAICDC and exploring the historic and monumental sights around you. Remember, just because you’ve made it to #CDECAICDC doesn’t mean you’ve reached the end of your journey. Every new connection you make and challenge you conquer here at #CDECAICDC will bring you one step closer to achieving your dreams. Congratulations on making it to ICDC and get ready for a #Limitless week in Washington, D.C.!

GREETINGS FROM YOUR EXECUTIVE OFFICERS A year full of training, fundraising and competing at local conferences has brought you to the 2018 Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference!

However, remember that #CDECAICDC is not only about the competition. We encourage you to engage with DECA’s National Advisory Board partners, your fellow members and the many professionals in this city. Remember, the best way to have a #Limitless experience is to take advantage of every opportunity that may come your way! Be sure to share your favorite memories on social media all week long using #CDECAICDC. Also, use DECA’s social media platforms and the conference application to connect with Collegiate DECA members and corporate partners during ICDC and long after the conference ends. Whether this is your first year as a Collegiate DECA member or your last, we wish you the best of luck as you take on the 2018 #CDECAICDC! GRAND OPENING SESSION ARLINGTON BALLROOM

Collegiate DECA’s Grand Opening Session kicks off #CDECAICDC with excitement and anticipation of the competition and leadership development that awaits our emerging leaders and entrepreneurs. The Grand Opening Session, led by your 2017-2018 Executive Officer Team, will feature the annual parade of chartered associations, scholarship presentations, student and advisor recognition, and the exciting keynote speaker below.

JOHNNY CUPCAKES KEYNOTE PRESENTATION Johnny Cupcakes is the first ever ‘T-Shirt Bakery,’ combining a t-shirt shop with the aesthetic of a bakery. Commonly, customers walk in expecting to purchase a cupcake and are upset when they find a t-shirt shop. However, for the customers who know about Johnny and his business they immediately fall in love with the charm, aroma and excellent experience of the shop. Johnny’s uncanny ability to build customer loyalty and have people camp out for sales has been featured on Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, INC Magazine, The New York times and more. Additionally, Johnny Cupcakes products were seen in the Seth Rogan movie, This is The End.
