STUDENT PROFILE

NAME: Hannah Garvin

Hannah Garvin is an empathetic, confident and committed student who describes Sheahan as an encouraging, supportive school that promotes wellbeing and is a fun place to be in. Her major achievements include receiving a citizenship award and Year 10 Dux last year, and completing a medical internship in Nepal at the beginning of this year, where she assisted the local community. At Sheahan, Hannah has been involved in the Youth Mission Team, CSYMI program and Peer Support. Outside of school, she participates in various activities that demonstrate her compassion towards others, such as her recent involvement in the Orange Cancer Council Daffodil Day in 2022.

As a student at James Sheahan, Hannah has developed in confidence and feels the school has helped prepare her to achieve her main goal of studying medicine at the University of Sydney and becoming a doctor. Another goal of Hannah ’s is to be part of the school ’s Leadership Team in 2024. Hannah should be commended for her commitment to achieving her goals through her hard work and compassion as well as the difference that she makes in the community.
