The countdown is on! For the second year in a row, the global pandemic has brought about a change in dates for Milan Design Week and Copenhagen’s 3 Days of Design. Shifting from their usual April and September time slots, for the first time the 2022 editions are occurring back to back from 6 - 17 June. Myself, along with Mathew Fowler, Clinton Garofano, Renee Hooker, Christoper Pooré, Ravi Shankar and Benjamin Downey from Cult will attend both events in one trip. Memphis Again Curated by Christoph Radl, the Memphis Again exhibition at Triennale Milano presents more than 200 pieces of furniture and objects produced between 1981 and 1986 in the most diverse selection of materials. Displayed along the Curva Gallery, the objects have been organized in chronological order along the 100-meter-long space that welcomes guests and guides them along a catwalk with music by American DJ Seth Troxler, adding a nightclub twist. Porsche The Art Of Dreams Porsche’s debut appearance at Milan Design Week is part of the brand’s series of immersive art interventions “The Art of Dreams”. Together with floral artist Ruby Barber of Studio Mary Lennox the sports car manufacturer shows an uplifting sculptural artwork that combines the fragility of flowers with the promise of 21st century technology. Already fascinating in its resting state, the dreamlike installation comes to life for choreographed performances. “The Art of Dreams” by Porsche is showcasing at Palazzo Clerici in the heart of Brera. The Press Office is located at the Service Centre, 1st floor (nearest entrance: South Gate). A free shuttle service is available during the shows: the external shuttle bus stops at East, West and South Gates and the Salone Satellite entrance (Cargo 5).
