This year, we celebrate a major milestone – our landmark 20th year in business.
design objects, soft furnishings and modular kitchens, bathrooms and storage.
Two decades ago, we joined the local design scene as Corporate Culture - with just four staff promoting two brands out of our Chippendale showroom.
We proudly work with the best Australasian interior designers, architects and stylists to deliver our designs into projects in all categories, from award-winning restaurants and bars, to the nicest private homes and the slickest offices, retail stores and public spaces.
Twenty years on, our offering has organically grown from showroom destination to full-service design house - rebranding to Cult along the way to better reflect who we have become, including import, export, manufacture, retail, wholesale, creative direction, education and advocacy. Â We started Cult with just two Danish brands; now we exclusively import over 35 of the best design brands from seven key markets around the world, from furniture to lighting,
Our team has grown from four to 56, working across six locations including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, Singapore, and our own monobrand HAY store in Sydney’s Surry Hills. We also have a wide distributor and retailer network, ensuring the brands we import are available in all corners of the markets we service.

We fiercely campaign for the education and advocacy of authentic design in Australasia, supporting leading awards programmes and events that celebrate the best in practice. We also passionately support local educational institutions to ensure the designers of the future understand the importance of craftsmanship, authenticity and good design. After twenty years of importing and cultivating an authentic design culture in Australia, we take on a new challenge and look outwards with the launch of NAU - our own brand of furniture and lighting designed by a collective of Australia’s most talented and spirited designers. Following a series of global launches, NAU is distributed in four international markets with manufacturing hubs in Australia, Japan and Denmark.
