One in six Americans faces hunger. Many people regularly have to decide whether to buy food or pay the rent. The Samaritan Center provides nutritious hot meals to anyone in need 7 days a week – no questions asked. Guests include “both the young and the not so young, those who are well educated and those who are not, individuals and families, people whose lives are bound by the prison of substance abuse, people who are well and those who face the challenge of illness.” www.samcenter.org

Several Project REACH members will have the opportunity to “give back” by helping to serve a lunchtime meal for homeless guests at the Samaritan Center in downtown Syracuse. If you are interested, please contact Michele Tesch 315-655-7205 or matesch@cazenovia.edu.

Do you ever find you need a quiet place to study? The new Project REACH Study Center is available for our members! We were busy over the summer! If you come over to Project REACH, you may notice some changes. We’ve had a wall and a door removed, added tables and chairs, cleared out a lot of old stuff and rearranged some of our equipment. Project REACH now has a Study

Center and a separate work study office. We invite any Project REACH members to use the Study Center any time you need a quiet place to study. We have space for four people to work at one time. Our hope is that our new area will get used daily! 7
