News & World Report Cazenovia College is an independent, coeducational college, located in Cazenovia, New York, offering baccalaureate programs in the liberal arts and professional studies.

The International Studies program offers students the opportunity to complete a challenging interdisciplinary curriculum in preparation for careers in international relations, non-governmental organizations, development, law, business, and domestic organizations with an international focus. Students are exposed to global issues from a variety of perspectives, expected to participate in an international study experience, and encouraged to develop a broad understanding of the issues shaping our world today.

INTERNATIONAL STUDIES INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Study Abroad/Washington D.C. Internship Students choose between semester-long study abroad programs at Canterbury Christ Church University in Kent, United Kingdom or Nagoya Gakuin University in Nagoya, Japan. Both of these locations involve internationally-themed coursework at a foreign university while participating in sponsored study trips. Students pay the same tuition and room and board that they would studying at home, including any financial aid. Students earn 15 credits that apply to their Cazenovia College degree. Washington, D.C. Internship – Cazenovia College partners with the Washington Internship Institute to broaden students’ internship opportunities by spending a s emester (or a summer) in the nation’s capital. With hundreds of D.C. area internship sites to choose from, the Washington Internship Institute represents a tremendous asset for International Studies students to gain valuable pre-career experience and network with professionals working in the field. Students who participate in the semester-long program earn six internship credits and take six credits of coursework while in D.C.

HONOR SOCIETY The International Studies program recognizes academic excellence among its majors and minors through invitation to membership in Cazenovia College’s Epsilon Psi Chapter of Sigma Iota Rho, the multi-national honor society for international studies.

INTERNATIONAL STUDIES GRADUATES While a number of our graduates are putting their skills to work here in the United States, many have chosen to live, work or continue their studies abroad. Caz alumni have relocated to distant locales like Cameroon, Chile, Ghana, Madagascar, Peru, and the United Kingdom, doing such things as working for the Peace Corps, teaching English, working in sustainable development and anti-poverty initiatives, studying human rights law and international relations, and more.
