architecture from concept to built form Our main goal is to describe the design process, the architectural solutions and the detailing choices of a built work in a chronological order. The dream – that is also the ambition – is to tune at the best the structure of this on-line manual and to spread around its template in order to amplify the power of collecting and publishing in a such huge way that in a few years we could arrive at the largest open source and most browsed utility for architectural students not only in Europe.

Office presentation
Marco Castelletti Born in Erba in 1958, he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Genoa in 1983 and opened a studio in Erba in the province of Como in 1987. His interest is concentrated in the first years of activity on the theme of urban regeneration and public space with participation in numerous architectural competitions winning 17 first awards. From these statements arise the first public works which led him over the years to redevelop the squares and lake fronts of different cities and countries, including the center of San Giuliano Milanese, the squares on the lake in Lecco and Piazza Goldoni Trieste as well as other minor works concentrated mainly in Milan and Brianza. At the same time the activity of the study is directed towards the resolution of issues related to the landscape and places of environmental interest in the search for an architecture-related context. From 2000 to 2004 works are born as Villa Casa del Masso X and overlooking the first basin of Lake Como and the bathing pavilion of the beach Segrino. The international recognition takes place in December 2004 with the achievement of two awards at ‘AR + D Award for Emerging Architecture at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London as a result of which in February 2005 was invited to give a lecture in the same place. For his projects and his works since 2007 is a member of the Italian Association of Landscape Architecture. Gets numerous publications in trade magazines and the inclusion in 2008 of the prestigious Phaidon Press book “The World Atlas of architecture of the 21st century.�

Maria Kyrisavva I am greek-cypriot born in Cyprus. I am studying Architecture, in the University of Cyprus and I am on the 4th year of my studies. I am an Erasmus student in Milano for this semester at the Politecnico di Milano. It has been an unforgettable, newfound and educating experience. I as a person love learning and getting involved with new people, languages and all sort of experiences. My life is powered by creation and travelling. I believe that architecture can affect the state of reality and society.
