AFTER SCHOOL CLASSES KIDS’ CREW AFTER SCHOOL

Mondays or Tuesdays after school for six weeks • $120

DRAMA SHOP (1st and 2nd graders) 4pm – 5:30 pm (3rd - 5th graders) 4pm – 6pm

Mondays: January 5, 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9

A playful and creative class that teaches students specific acting tools, such as character development, improvisation, and collaboration.

ACTING A SCRIPT (3rd - 5th graders) 4pm – 6pm Tuesdays: January 6, 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10

In this class students will break apart the mechanics of performing a script and learn how actors make each moment on stage meaningful and memorable. Students must have completed one of the following: an Arden Acting Class, Drama Shop, or Summer Camp to participate in Acting a Script.

TEEN COMPANY AFTER SCHOOL Mondays after school for six weeks • $120

MUSICAL THEATRE (6th – 8th graders) 4:30pm – 6pm (9th – 12th graders) 6pm – 8pm Mondays: January 5, 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9

Communicating a story through singing and being part of an ensemble are important in musical theatre. Learn these techniques plus develop skills needed for solo performances.

This six week session will cover fundamentals of acting and developing skills needed to perform dramatic texts. Students will learn how to use their voice, body and imagination to use a variety of tactics to overcome obstacles, reach objectives, and develop characters in preparation for performing a script. Theatre terminology will also be covered.

SATURDAY CLASSES KIDS’ CREW 8-WEEK CLASSES

Every Saturday morning for eight weeks • $160 January 17, 24, 31, February 7, 14, 21, 28, March 7

TREASURE TRUNK (Kindergarteners) Saturdays, 10am – 11am

In school you sit while the teacher reads the story – in this class YOU invent the story. Discover the power of your own imagination. You will use trunks full of hats, costumes, and props to bring your story to life.

STORYCRAFTERS (1st and 2nd graders) Saturdays, 10am – 11:30am

Have you ever wanted to star in one of your favorite books? Become a pirate? A king? A wild thing? In this class you will learn how to create fantastic characters and become a great storyteller.

ACTING (3rd - 5th graders) Saturdays, 10am – 12pm

Have you ever wanted to be an actor? This class will teach you what you need to know to be on the stage. You will use your body, voice and mind to create characters in your very own play. Beginners welcome!

TEEN COMPANY 5-WEEK CLASS

Every Saturday morning from 10am – 12pm for five weeks • $100 January 24, 31, February 7, 14, 21

DESIGN

(6th - 12th graders)

Learn what happens behind the scenes – sets, props, costumes, lights and sound. Explore all elements of design and get special backstage tours of the theatre. At the final class students will make a complete design presentation. Fall semester Costume Design and Technical Theatre students are encouraged to participate.

SPRING BREAK CAMPS KIDS’ CREW CAMP (1st – 5th grade), $300 Monday - Friday: April 6 – 10 from 9am – 3pm

TEEN COMPANY CAMP (6th–12th grade), $300 Monday – Friday: March 23 – 27 from 9am – 3pm

Our action-packed theatre camp is taught by theatre professionals with all the care we give to our full scale productions. Kids will spend the week taking acting and design classes, all while creating a theatre piece of their very own. Each group of campers, guided by their teachers, will create a world-premiere production that they present to friends and family on Friday afternoon!

ONE DAY CLASSES

KIDS’ CREW PLAY IN A DAY (1st – 5th graders), $50 per class

Saturdays, January 10, 19*, 31, February 21, or March 14 from 10am-3pm (* Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day) Create a play – in just one day! You create the characters, the setting, and the script. Work together on your own masterpiece that you will present to family and friends at 2:30 pm.

Do you dream about starring in your own Disney Channel show? This class is for you! Learn to sing, dance, and act at the same time as you create scenes from your favorite musicals!

COSTUME DESIGN

Saturday, January 24 from 1 - 4pm

Do you love fashion, clothes, shopping, and accessorizing? This class is for you! Learn how to design a costume for one of your favorite characters.

CHOREOGRAPHY

Saturday, February 7 from 1 - 4pm

Do you love to watch people dance and wish you could join them? This class is for you! Not only will you dance, but you will also learn how to choreograph your own number.

ACTING

Saturday, March 14 from 1 - 4pm

Do you wish you could star in a play? This class is for you! Rehearse a scene from start to finish and get a taste of acting.

TEEN COMPANY WORKSHOPS (6th - 12th graders), $30 a class PERFORM A SONG

Saturday, January 17 from 1 - 4pm

Storycrafte

Do you always find yourself singing? Belting out your favorite song in your room? This class is for you! Come brush up your favorite musical solo in preparation for your musical auditions this school year. A musical theatre pro and a professional accompanist will work through your song and give you tips and advice on how to make it a sure-fire hit.

MUSICAL THEATRE

Saturday, February 28 from 1 - 4pm

Do you dream about starring in a Broadway musical? This class is for you! Learn to sing, dance, and act at the same time as you create scenes from your favorite musicals!
