Panel, öğrencilerin küresel sorunları ve çözüm önerilerini tartıştığı AGÜ Yöntemleri (AGÜ Ways) dersi kapsamında gerçekleştirildi.
AGÜ Çocuk Üniversitesi ile ORAN Kalkınma Ajansı arasındaki işbirliği protokolü kapsamında uygulanan “Uygulamalı Girişimcilik” atölyeleri yeniden başladı.
Etkinlikte, yurt içinde ve yurt dışında staj yapan Endüstri Mühendisliği öğrencileri, bu deneyimlerini diğer öğrencilerle paylaştı.

The panel on people with disabilities was organized within the scope of AGU Ways in which students discuss global problems and solution offers.
Within the protocol signed between the AGU Children’s University and the ORAN Development Agency “Practical Entrepreneurship” workshops started once again.
In the event, Industrial Engineering students who did internships in Turkey or abroad shared their experience with other students.

Abdullah Gül Üniversitesi, Bilim, Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı’nın açıkladığı “Girişimci ve Yenilikçi Üniversite Endeksi” sıralamasında, geçen yıla oranla 11 basamak ilerleyerek listenin 12. sırasına yükseldi. AGÜ, son 25 yılda kurulan tüm devlet üniversiteleri arasında 1. sırada yer aldı.
On the “Entrepreneurial and Innovative Universities Index” announced by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, Abdullah Gül University climbed to 12th position rising 11 spots compared to last year. AGU ranked first among the state universities established in the last 25 years.
Üniversitelerin puanlandığı 5 kategoride toplanan ve Teknoloji Transfer Ofisi (AGÜ TTO) tarafından işlenen verilerle, geçen yıla oranla 11 basamak ilerleme kaydeden Abdullah Gül Üniversitesi, listenin 12’nci sırasına yükseldi.
Thanks to the data collected and entered in 5 categories by the AGU Technology Transfer Office (AGU TTO) for the rankings, Abdullah Gül University climbed to 12th position rising 11 spots compared to last year.
Endeksin 2017 sıralamasında büyük bir yükseliş göstererek bir başarı daha elde eden AGÜ, bir çok köklü üniversitenin de önünde yer aldı.
With a sharp increase and success on the 2017 index, AGU landed before many established universities.
Girişimci ve Yenilikçi Üniversite Endeksi ile üniversiteler, bilimsel ve teknolojik araştırma yetkinliği, fikri mülkiyet havuzu, işbirliği ve etkileşim, girişimcilik ve yenilikçilik kültürü ile ekonomik katkı ve ticarileşme boyutları ele alınarak sıralanıyor.
On the Entrepreneurial and Innovative Universities Index, universities are ranked based on categories of scientific and technological research capabilities, intellectual property pool, cooperation and interaction, culture of entrepreneurship and innovativeness, economic contribution and commercialization.
TÜBİTAK 2017 Ödülleri / TUBITAK 2017 Awards Bilgisayar Mühendisliği Bölüm Başkanı Doç. Dr. Çağrı Güngör, 2017 yılı TÜBİTAK Teşvik Ödülü kazandı. Assoc. Prof. Çağrı Güngör, Department Head at the Computer Engineering, has been awarded the 2017 TUBITAK Incentive Award. Doç. Dr. Güngör’e ödülü, Cumhurbaşkanlığı Külliyesi’nde düzenlenen törende Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan tarafından verildi. Doç. Dr. Güngör, Kayseri’ye TÜBİTAK 2017 ödülü kazandıran tek akademisyen olurken, ödül törenine Rektör Prof. Dr. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu da katıldı. Based on TUBITAK’s evaluation for the 2017 Science, Special, Service and Incentive Awards, the Scientific Committee of TUBITAK gave 4 Science and 11 Incentive Awards.
TÜBİTAK 2017 yılı Bilim, Özel, Hizmet ve Teşvik Ödüllerine ilişkin değerlendirme çalışmaları sonucu, TÜBİTAK Bilim Kurulu tarafından 2017 yılında 4 Bilim Ödülü ve 11 Teşvik Ödülü verildi. Bilgisayar Mühendisliği Bölüm Başkanı Doç. Dr. Çağrı Güngör de Mühendislik Bilimleri dalında, “Gelecek nesil haberleşme ve akıllı enerji sistemleri alanında kablosuz algılayıcı ağları ve akıllı şebekelerde haberleşme sistemleri” konularındaki uluslararası düzeyde üstün nitelikli çalışmaları nedeniyle TÜBİTAK Teşvik Ödülü kazandı.
Assoc. Prof. Çağrı Güngör, Department Head at the AGU Computer Engineering, received the TUBITAK Incentive Awards in the field of Engineering Sciences thanks to his internationally acclaimed studies on “Wireless sensor networks for next generation communication and smart energy systems and communication systems in intelligent networks.” Assoc. Prof. Güngör’s award was presented by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in a ceremony held at the Presidential Complex. Rector Prof. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu also joined the award ceremony where Assoc. Prof. Güngör was the only academic from Kayseri to receive an award
AGÜ Öğrencilerinin Projeleri İngiliz Kraliyet Seçkisinde AGU Students’ Projects in the Royal Institute of British Architects List Mimarlık Bölümü 4.sınıf öğrencileri Melike Sena Erden ve Hale Nur Aydın’ın 2017 Bahar yarıyılı çalışmaları, İngiliz Kraliyet Mimarlık Akademisi (RIBA) 2017 seçkisinde yer aldı.
2017 spring projects of Melike Sena Erden and Hale Nur Aydın, 4th year students of the Architecture Department, were included in the selection of Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
RIBA’nın değerlendirmesi sonucu, 4. sınıf öğrencileri Melike Sena Erden ve Hale Nur Aydın’ın 2017 Bahar yarıyılında, Kayseri Tren İstasyonu için geliştirdikleri projeye ilişkin başvuruyu “2017 RIBA President’s Medal” kategorisi için uygun bulunarak kabul edildi.
The application of 4th year students Melike Sena Erden and Hale Nur Aydın, who designed their project for the Kayseri Railway Station in the 2017 spring term, was accepted into the “2017 RIBA President’s Medal” category following the evaluation by the RIBA.
RIBA, her yıl akredite ettiği mimarlık okullarında üretilen öğrencilere ait mimari proje çalışmaları için bir yarışma çağrısı açıyor ve uluslararası bir jüri tarafından değerlendirerek bir seçki üretiyor. 2016 yılı seçkisini içeren sergi ise AGÜ Sümer Kampüsü’nde sergileniyor.
Each year, the RIBA calls for architecture project applications prepared by students studying at the architecture schools accredited by the RIBA and prepares a selection list with an international jury. Their 2016 selection is on exhibit on the Sümer Campus.

Hürriyet Yazarlarından AGÜ’ye Ziyaret Hürriyet Newspaper Columnists Visited AGU
Hürriyet Gazetesi ve Türkiye Seyahat Acenteleri Birliği (TÜRSAB) öncülüğünde organize edilen “Hürriyet ile Keşfet” organizasyonu kapsamında Kayseri’ye gelen gazetenin dev yazar kadrosu Abdullah Gül Üniversitesi’ni ziyaret etti.
The Hürriyet newspaper and the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) organized “Hürriyet ile Keşfet” (Discover with Hürriyet) and within the organization, the large staff of columnists came to Kayseri and visited Abdullah Gül University.

They took a tour of the Rectorate building, AGU Library and the Large Warehouse where classrooms and workshops are located and chatted with students studying therein.
Hürriyet gazetesi yazarı ve sanatçı Ömür Gedik de Rektör Prof. Dr. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu ve gençlik faaliyetleri yürüten Gençlik Fabrikası’nı ziyaret etti. Prof. Dr. Sabuncuoğlu ile bir süre sohbet eden Ömür Gedik, daha sonra üniversitede gençlik faaliyetleri yürüten Gençlik Fabrikası çalışanları ile biraraya geldi.
Ömür Gedik, Hürriyet newspaper columnist and artist, also visited Rector Prof. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu and the Youth Factory, carrying out youth activities. Prof. Sabuncuoğlu talked with Ömür Gedik for an hour and later they met with the Youth Factory team, carrying out youth activities.
Borusan’dan Mezun Adaylarına Seminer / Borusan Gave Seminar to Graduating Students AGÜ’nün mezun adayı öğrencilerine, Borusan Holding İnsan Kaynakları uzmanları tarafından işe alım süreçleri, CV hazırlama gibi konularda eğitim semineri verildi.
Human Resources specialists of Borusan Holding held a seminar on employment processes and writing a resume for graduating students of AGU.
Seminere, Borusan Holding İnsan Kaynakları uzmanları Derya Demirer ve Bilun Solukçu konuşmacı olarak katıldı. Demirer ve Solukçu, mezun adayı öğrencilere, insan kaynakları bölümlerinde işe alım sürecinin nasıl işlediğini anlattı. Demirer ve Solukçu, işe başvurularda adayların nelere dikkat etmesi gerektiği hakkında detaylı bilgilerin yanı sıra önemli ipuçları da paylaştı.
At the seminar, the speakers were Derya Demirer and Bilun Solukçu, both of whom are Human Resources Specialists at Borusan Holding. Demirer and Solukçu informed graduating students about employment procedure in human resources departments. They highlighted points of which candidates need to be aware when they apply for a job and shared important tips.

Rektör Prof. Dr. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu, davet üzerine Kayseri’de ve İstanbul’da bazı Anadolu Lisesi ve kolejlerde üniversite adayı öğrencilere dünyada yaşanan teknolojik gelişmelerin eğitim ve iş dünyasına etkilerini anlattı.
Rector Prof. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu visited some Anatolian High Schools and colleges in Kayseri and Istanbul as an invitee and talked with prospective university students about effects of technological developments in the world on education and business world.
Rektör Sabuncuoğlu, Sami Yangın Anadolu Lisesi, Özel Tekden Kayseri Koleji, Özel Bilfen Kayseri Lisesi, İstanbul Teknoloji ve İnsan Koleji ve Özel Bahçeşehir Koleji’nde yaklaşık bin üniversite adayı öğrenciye “Dünya Hızla Değişiyor, Peki Siz ?” konulu sunum yaptı.
Rector Sabuncuoğlu presented “The World Is Changing Fast, What About You?” to around one thousand prospective students at different times in Sami Yangın Anatolian High School, Private Tekden Kayseri College, Private Bilfen Kayseri High School, Istanbul Technology and Human College, and Private Bahçeşehir College.
Dünyanın hızla değişmekte, gelişmekte olduğuna dikkati çeken Sabuncuoğlu değişimin, gezegen bekçiliğinden dijital oyun mühendisliğine, sanal market işletmeciliğinden uzay turizmi tur operatörlüğüne kadar bir çok yeni mesleği ortaya çıkaracağını vurguladı. Sabuncuoğlu, iş dünyasının eskisi gibi zeki, çalışkan ve çalıştığı yere sadık niteliklerde insanlar aramadığını, bunların yerine girişimci, yenilikçi, fikir üreten, her duruma uyum sağlayabilen, takım çalışmasına uyumlu bireyler aradığını anlattı.
In his presentation, Sabuncuoğlu highlighted that the world was changing and developing fast and these fast changes created many new jobs from planetary protection, computer game engineering, online market business to tour operator business for space tourism. Sabuncuoğlu added, the business world no longer looks for smart, hardworking and loyal employees but instead employs individuals who are entrepreneurial, innovative, generate ideas, are adaptable to every situation, able to work in teams.

Yapı Kulübü’nden Panel /The Construction Club’s Panel
Uluslararası Ofis ve Uluslararası Öğrenci Birliği Kulübü’nün organize ettiği Uluslararası Kültür Etkinlikleri kapsamında Mısır Günü etkinliği düzenlendi. AGÜ’nün Mısırlı öğrencileri, kendi kültürlerini diğer öğrencilere tanıttı. Mısır Ulusal Marşı’nın okunmasıyla başlayan etkinlikte öğrenciler, Mısır’ın tanıtım videosunu izletti, ülkelerine ait çeşitli dans gösterilerini yöresel kıyafetleri ile sundu.
Yapı Kulübü ve İnşaat Mühendisliği’nin düzenlediği “Türk Gayrimenkul Sektörüne Genel Bakış” konulu panelde, gayrimenkul sektörü masaya yatırıldı. Uluslararası Proje Yönetimi Enstitüsü (UPYE) işbirliğinde organize edilen panele Arma-Elektropanç Genel Müdür Yardımcısı Dr. Levent Sümer ile RE-PIE A. Ş. Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Dr. Emre Çamlıbel konuşmacı olarak katıldı.
The latest event of the Intercultural Series, organized by the International Office and the International Student Association Club was the Egypt Day. Students presented and promoted their own culture. It began with the Egyptian National Anthem. Then students showed the Egypt’s promotional video. The event continued with the dance performances of students in their traditional clothing.
The real estate sector was put on the table at the panel “An Overview of Turkish Real Estate Sector” organized by the Construction Club and the Civil Engineering Department. ARMA- ELEKTROPANC Deputy General Manager Dr. Levent Sümer, and RE-PIE Inc. Chairman Dr. Emre Çamlıbel were speakers of the panel, jointly organized by the Construction Club and International Project Management Institute (UPYE).
