Tiffeny Wilson

Tiffeny Wilson started her first business at the very tender age of 19. That business was called Mystique Outsourcing which featured bookings for extoic entertainment. In 2006, ebay became a big market and caused Tiffeny to start a fashion business called "Allways Pink Fashions. She continued this business until she was hired by the FBI in 2010. During this time Tiffeny was very unhappy and after talking with her mom, she took her leap of faith from working with the FBI to becoming a full time entrepreneur in 2013. Tiffeny thus changed the name of her fashion company and founded Boujie Couture on February 17, 2014, and this year she celebrates 10 years of entrepreneurship. In hopes of achieving her dreams, Tiffeny sold clothes out of her trunk and on corners to save the money to open her first boutique. During the 2015 grand opening of her first brick and mortar building is where the MC was born. The host of her show did not show up forcing her to have to be the MC. After that show, doors would just start opening for her to hold the mic. Tiffeny gained the name Mizz Boujie by the modeling ladies of 2016, who would call her this name because she was the owner of the Boujie brand.

In April 2016, Tiffeny produced her first play, called Rated Boujie; a play about teenage pregnancy and the effects family members have on the situation. It was a sold out show of 235 seats, with a diverse audience made up of strangers and co workers from Tiffeny's previous employment. This play sparked Tiffeny to launch her production company in which she called "Rated Boujie" in 2016. While hosting a fashion show, a model coined the catch phrase "Mizz Boujie, The Voice of Vision '' which became Tiffeny's artist name. During her first run as a boutique owner Tiffeny was able to work alongside Neil Hamilton, Gwen DeVoe, Ashley Walker, and several other people who impacted the fashion industry. 2014 was the year plus size modeling made a big wave in a small pond and boujie couture was able to be a fish. Her first boutique "Boujie Couture" was very successful, however she closed the doors due to an abusive marriage and an illness. However this did not make Tiffeny quit, she came out of her marriage still eager to prove her dream to be true. She yet again rebranded her business and started selling accessories under the name Boujie's Box. She opened her second boutique, in which she closed a few years later.

Within the year of 2016, the MC we know today was thriving and in high demand. Her first paid gig was the ZBT awards held in December of that year. It proved that her talent deserved to be rewarded with paid bookings. To this date the MC has hosted over 75 shows and counting. Some of the perks of hosting were being dressed by up-and-coming designers such as Gwen Davis, Davi Greenwear, Kamareo Crisp and Brittany Le'shaun.

Covid changed the direction of Tiffeny's dreams in 2019 and she decided to go to school to get her nail license, opening a nail shop called Happii Feet Pedicures, specializing in healthy nail care for men and women. As the years rolled by, Tiffeny decided to relaunch the Boujie brand in 2019, now calling it "Boujie 2014" a self named leisure line for women. It has pushed the brand in homes all over the United States and is constantly growing.

2021 was the YEAR of change for Tiffeny, she invested her life saving into a venue called ETC Manor, with business partner Tamanisha Mayberry. The venue was not successful and was closed in 2023. In 2024, Tiffeny has something else planned

Never Give up on your dreams.

Jasmyne Wilson

My name is Jasmyne Wilson, and I started my balloon decor business 2 years ago. My mother opened a venue and needed an inhouse balloon stylist for events. I had just started college and was trying to figure out what I wanted to do for a career but I needed a healthy side hustle. I saw the opportunity and took it! I became extremely interested in it, constantly investing in items that I felt would improve my business and my craft. I am extremely blessed, having a mom who has owned businesses since I was a young child has allowed me to look up to her as a mentor and as someone who can guide me in the right steps.

I'm sure we can all agree that none of us want to work until we're 65 for a large company that can replace us in less than a week. Having to work under someone, especially someone of that level of power isn't always easy. There are going to be things that you may or may not agree with but unfortunately, that's your job. Many of us will or have given these large companies an abundant amount of years of our lives. If you can dedicate 30 years to a company why not dedicate 30 years to your own? Entrepreneurship isn’t perfect, it’s a journey. An entrepreneur is a person who organizes and operates a business or business, taking on greater than normal financial risk to do so. Entrpreneur means sacrifice. We as business owners sacrifice a lot.

I can't speak for others when I say this but I can say for myself, I would rather give myself 30 years to build my own company than give someone else 30 years to build theirs.

Kristie Coleman

As a Certified Life Coach, I have not only overcome personal challenges but have also channeled my resilience into two impactful business ventures. Firstly, as the co-founder of KT Beauty Boom, I am dedicated to helping individuals experiencing hair loss through the use of plant-based products. Secondly, as the CEO of Koleman Studios Productions, I lead a film production company committed to delivering educational, entertaining, and empowering content for people to enjoy.

Taking immense joy in being a beacon of hope in people's lives, I consider it a privilege to share my journey of overcoming all the challenges and adversities that were meant to break me. My name is Kristie K. Coleman, and the day I decided to rise above my struggles, I allowed myself to become a messenger of hope for the community. My experiences and struggles were not just for me; they were for every individual who has ever harbored a dream, an aspiration, or a hope for themselves. I want them to know that if they witness Kristie K. Coleman overcoming depression, anxiety, stress, and hopelessness, they can also triumph over their own adversities.

Many of us were raised with the belief that "what happens in this house stays in the house," and this mindset has internalized the idea that "what happens in our hearts stays in our hearts." However, there comes a moment when we realize that our dreams, goals, and aspirations are greater than ourselves. Despite how we feel, how we look, what we have or don't have, and the challenges we are working to overcome, we refuse to let what was meant to break us hinder our ability to connect with a community that is meant to find healing through us.

Tidorre Willi

TiDorre began her journey as an entrepreneur in 2005 when she opened her in home daycare. Her childhood dream was to be a teacher was her motivation as well as becoming a mother and through her daycare she was able to teach her young students and watch them grow. She successfully ran it for 15 years.

In 2020 she started stylesbytidorre , handpainted earrings that she paints and designs. To gain exposure for her craft she began attending small business events as a vendor and later as a host she hosted pop up markets for other business owners to provide them opportunity to network and sell their products. She is a go getter and didn't stop there she is also the owner of a cleaning business:

TiDorre's Cleaning and organizing, using her cleaning and organizing skills to help others keep their homes and businesses clean.

Born and raised in Connecticut Her dad taught her to be strong therefore TiDorre doesn't quit. Even at times when being a business owner was hard she found a way when there was no way. She is a hard working driven individual who isn't afraid to face a challenge. She is passionate about her business and knows how to get things accomplished!

Her goal is to inspire others who are in business or may want to start a business to not feel discouraged. To keep going. If it's your passion work for it with all your heart you'll get there. She is thankful for her support and will continue to work hard to grow her business

Ruthie McDonald

My name is Ruth, many know me as Ruthie & I am the Baking Butterfly. I have loved baking since childhood and I had no idea this gift would allow me to reach people all over the world. Baking is my safe place and each item I create is made with so much love you can taste it. I am grateful for the blessing & I pray it keeps making room for me in places I haven't even dreamed of yet. I have purchased numerous online tutorials, taken one hands-on fondant class & I frequent Youtube University, but overall I am self-taught - which amazes me.

Growing up I wanted to work in the medical field so that I could help people. In 2016 I realized that I could give people love & even heal them a little by sharing my God-given gift. Each time I let fear discourage me and tried to throw in the “towel” GOD threw it right back at me by making it unbearable to work for businesses owned by others. When I do things his way he repeatedly works it out for me even when I worry. I have two very special angels in Heaven that show up as Butterflies daily to keep me encouraged and remind me that I'm doing a wonderful job & they're so proud.

Being an entrepreneur is huge for me and I hope to leave an amazing legacy to my daughters. I won't lie and say it's easy, because let's be honest; life definitely be “life-ing”. It takes courage, strength and passion to keep showing up and doing my best. I pray that I keep growing & glowing, in Jesus's name, Amen.

Lucille Woods-Range

Hello, My name is Lucille Woods-Range and I am an emtreprenuer as an Independent Paparazzi Consulant. I have worked in Human Resources for 15 plus years and after the panedemic, I found that working under someone else's supervison was no longer what I wanted to do. Although I have a love for customer service, I felt I could use those skills to work for myself, I decided to step out on Faith and use my expert skills working as an entrepreneur. I am now a grandmother and take care of grandson by day and work my business at any moment I have free.

My passion is helping others and making sure everyone is good. Also I have a passion for decorating but with my business schedule I have not had much time to do it. I was a single parent for years where I worked myself to the bone to make sure my daughter was good and would have a better future than myself. God has allowed myself and her father to reunite to help our daughter on her journet. I have been in management roles at work that did give me the opportunity to treat employees like I wanted to be treated and now that I work for myself, I can work and self and still give the best customer service I can.

Being nominated for this award is such an honor and to be amongst like minded entreprenuers fuels my fire. I was scared for this journey and still as of today still learning and trying to grow. A nomination mean more that just an award but the mere fact that someone thinks of you in this manner to be awarded for working for yourself. Thank you to those who nominated and believed in me. This is jsut fuel to my fire and I continue on this life of entrepreneturship. I will continue to strive and also help women like myself get to the next level. This is what this award means to me. To be a better help to those who strive to work for themselves.

Again, thank you and I am most appreciative for this award.

Candace Blanks

I am a Survivor! I am Alive! I am Grateful! In 2007 life happened, I became a Quitter with no college degree and lost zeal. I lost Self-Esteem, my Identity and Drive for life. In 2010 I was a divorcee and single mom of two. I was barely making it; with faith I left Dallas and moved to Houston to restart.

I eventually remarried, and a year later I was diagnosed with Neuropathy, a nervous system disorder. I was in extreme pain every day. I struggled for years to walk, talk and do daily activities with my husband and the kids. My health made me quit my job in 2014. In 2018 unexpectedly I went into Renal Failure, my kidney was about to explode. In 2019 I had kidney surgery. In 2022 my Retina’s were detaching in both of my eyes.

By this time I was going through depression, loneliness and feeling unworthy; not knowing that God was setting me up to make me who I am today? I am a Minister, Wife, Mother, Entrepreneur, Motivational Speaker, Poet, Actress, Director and Owner of Prosperi-tee’s Productions LLC, and on July 14,2024 we will have our very first stage play “How Can I Lead If She Doesn’t Want To Follow” at the Stafford Civic Center. Co-owner of CL Graphics LLC, our non-profit “Team Salvation” where Jesus is the reason.

I reset my goals and dreams to line up with what God has for me and my family. I became God Made!

Andrea Hoxie

After being stricken with Sarcoidosis in mid-1996, Andrea Hoxie was bedridden for almost two years. Unable to return to work, she occupied herself with pursuing her first insurance license. It was not until 2005, however, when her mother was disenrolled from her Medicare plan without her knowledge, that Andrea became interested in insurance, and particularly Medicare. She has since been actively engaged in educating all who are interested about their rights, responsibilities and options with regard to health insurance and related matters. Andrea sees her consultancy as a means of helping people find the best fit for insurance coverage rather than trying to fit them to a particular company or plan. To that end, she contracts with dozens of companies, focusing on “people-related” insurance products.

A cofounder of New Covenant Ministries, Andrea works to provide technological support to those who apply for benefits for low income and/or disabled individuals.

A pianist/composer/arranger, and writer of poetry, essays, and blogs, Andrea speaks to groups on a variety of subjects. She was ordained into the Gospel Ministry in June 2002, and currently serves as an active deacon for South Main Baptist Church, where she is also serves in music ministry and Christian education. She is blessed to live not too far away from her only child, Vanessa (“Sweet Pea”), a former educational administrator, now a Public Interest Attorney and member of the instructional staff of South Texas College of Law, and only grandchild, Layla Charles (“Grand Pea”), a Junior Olympian and now fifth-grader.
