FROM THE ARCHIVES Celebrating AH&L’s 40th anniversary year

on the move NO MATTER HOW MANY years go by, autumn in Atlanta continues to leave me in awe. It’s not uncommon to find me out and about more than normal during this time of year, whether I’m working from The Chastain patio on a Friday morning, reading a book on the lawn at Piedmont Park or getting goodies from the Peachtree Road Farmers Market on Saturdays. The atmosphere feels lighter, which inevitably encourages us—and our homes—to live happier. And as we begin the busy entertaining season, our November issue leans into this theme of a happy, harmonious home. In Buckhead, Susan Ferrier brings the bones of her clients’ house to life with simple

yet impactful changes (page 38), and nearby, Lauren DeLoach infuses tasteful palettes of pattern and color to create a family home that’s plush with personality (page 52). At Peachtree Hills Place, Lauren Davenport helps her longtime clients’ new condominium live large in their next era of living (page 66). The change in season means that Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles is opening the doors to the Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse this month. Located near Atlanta, the California-cool house breathes a new air of sophistication into the neighborhood. Join us for tours starting on November 16!

W WHEN SPACE BECAME available in her office at ADAC West, it was a serendipitous moment for Janie Wilburn of The Jane Group and Seth van den Bergh of The Drawing Room. Both had previously worked adjacent to each other in the unit when van den Bergh designed for another studio. Today, now both successfully heading their own design businesses, the pair is reunited with a new sense of community. Though Wilburn and van den Bergh have different aesthetics, the studios embody a cohesive residential ambience that highlights both of their tastes. “Seth and I are fairly different and I think our styles offset each other in an interesting way,” says Wilburn. “His space is kind of edgy and cool and mine is more tailored and calm. I love the balance.” The bones of the office had seen better days, and the pair were eager to infuse a brighter, fresher appeal that still functioned in their favor. Worn concrete floors were swapped with a dog-friendly option (at times, the office has hosted up to five dogs and seven employees simultaneously), and to delineate the layout, the studios introduced a set of arches—one serving as the entrance to The Drawing Room and the other providing access to the shared restroom and storage closet. The full-service kitchenette—designed more as a library or bar and doubling as The Drawing Room’s presentation space—enlisted neighboring friends for its facelift. Rich paneled cabinetry by Bell Cabinetry & Design anchors impressive stonework, Waterworks faucetry and appliances from Smeg through SR Appliance Depot. “Function was critical and we wanted all the things that make it easy to work here all day long,” says Wilburn. Adding layers of beauty and texture are the various collections displayed in each space. In The Drawing Room, the sofa, glass table and wall sconces are original designs unique to the studio

and are paired with treasured objects. At The Jane Group, two large islands with storage underneath are a handsome accompaniment to styled shelving and clutter-free work zones. Both avid art collectors, each space displays works that hold special memories for the designers. “What truly makes our spaces distinctive are the collected objects that adorn it,” says van den Bergh. “Each piece carries its own significance or history, aligning seamlessly with our design philosophies.” Now, the office is so much more than just a workspace, says van den Bergh. “It’s a harmonious fusion of work and leisure, surrounded by captivating art and cherished treasures—a place that not only facilitates our creative process but also serves as the wellspring of our inspiration.” And Wilburn agrees. “We created a workspace where we have autonomy and physical room to spread out and a collaborative studio where we can share ideas and resources alike. Design is an opportunity to change the way people live, and it’s a lot of fun to do it in a space that we created together.”

CRISP TUXEDOS COMMINGLE with flowing dresses and sparkling accessories. Cocktails clink and murmurs of conversation fill the room. It’s buzzing with excitement at the soirée of the season: The Philip T. Shutze Awards. Awarded to those exhibiting excellence in classical and traditional design, each entry was anonymously

and intensely judged by this year’s jurors architect Elizabeth Graziolo, interior designer Shawn Henderson and landscape architect Keith Williams. Designer Madeline Stuart hosted the evening, where medals of honor were given to each winner during a delectable seated dinner, Historical Concepts founder Jim Strickland was honored with the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award and true classicism was recognized and celebrated. Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles was in attendance and is thrilled to share the awardwinning projects with you. 17

What they executed was flawless. It was hard to discern what was new and what was old.” WORDS FROM THE WINNER: From all of us at Zepsa, a word of gratitude to the board and the entire staff of the ICAA Southeast Chapter. We are pleased and proud that Zepsa’s work was selected from such a talented group of artisans and craftsmen.”

Regarding the 1928 Philip Shutze-designed mortuary and its adjacent gardens, both will play high-profile roles in the overall development, according to Zuckerman, whose team has finalized a deal with a food and beverage tenant that will fully occupy the building. “The Patterson is the centerpiece of the project and is one of the most unique retail opportunities in the region. We have respectfully kept this historical gem and developed modern office and residential skyscrapers around it, which isn’t something you see every day.”

A few years ago, when Atlanta-based PORTMAN purchased the four-acre lot at the corner of Spring and 10th Street where the H.M. Patterson and Sons Spring Hill funeral home long stood, much was made of the fact that the developer planned to build a mixed-use development around the landmark building. Now, with the project well on its way to completion, Atlantans will soon have the opportunity to experience the redeveloped site. Named SPRING QUARTER, the development includes 1020 SPRING, a Class-A office tower which

STAR TURN BANK OF AMERICA PLAZA, the Southeast’s tallest skyscraper and one of Atlanta’s premiere office high-rises, is getting an upgrade, starting with its new tagline: THE SOUTH STAR, in honor of the tower’s golden spire. Purchased last year by commercial real estate firm CP GROUP, the 31-year-old building, which is retaining its name, is currently undergoing a $50 million capital improvement project that has so far included both a renovation of its now state-of-the-art conference center and the addition of flexible workspace suites. The most notable change will take place in the building’s lobby, which is being completely redesigned and given a hospitality focus, says CHRIS EACHUS, Partner at CP Group. “The stature and exceptionality of the building will be felt in the new arrival experience, which will offer an upscale 30

coffee bar and versatile huddle-and-focus workspace for guests and tenants.” A high-end restaurant on the ground level is also being planned, according to JUSTIN BROWN, COO and Director of Account Services at CORE12, which is handling the building’s repositioning. Overseen by global architecture firm GENSLER, the lobby renovation will honor the building’s original Postmodernist design by architect Kevin Roche. “The new design pays homage to the existing geometry through changes in materiality, creating a lighter and brighter experience,” says KEVIN SONGER, Gensler Atlanta’s Co-Managing Director and Principal-in-Charge of the project. “With hospitality touches throughout, the overall experience adds more warmth and personality to the already iconic building.”

REMEMBER THE NEW COKE brouhaha of 1985? If you were around back then, and if you were a devoted CocaCola drinker, then you’ll recall how many of us were so panicked by the thought of Coke’s flavor being changed that we stockpiled as much “old” Coke as we could. There ended up being such a backlash that Coca-Cola’s top brass thankfully went back to the original formula, renaming it Coca-Cola Classic. It was a cautionary tale of what can happen when you start messing with a classic, something which, sadly, a lot of companies continue to do, especially when it comes to food items. Am I the only one who thinks that Club crackers don’t taste like they used to? As far as the design world goes, I think a similar New Coke-like uproar might occur if, say, Schumacher discontinued or radically altered its much loved Pyne Hollyhock fabric. Or what about Mottahedeh’s Blue Canton china pattern? Can you imagine the upset that would result from that ceasing to be produced? Fortunately for us, such occurrences don’t happen as frequently in the design sphere as they do elsewhere, because venerated brands like the two I just mentioned know better than to disappoint their customers by getting rid of their classic designs. When timehonored designs do get discontinued, it’s not unheard of for them to be resurrected. For example, Tiffany & Co. wisely brought back their Bamboo sterling flatware pattern. Why they ever discontinued it in the first place is beyond me. Even heritage brands are brought back to life by those who understand and appreciate the value of classic design. Wells Textiles bought the Rose Cumming brand, and once again, it’s thriving. Same for Hinson fabrics and Hansen lighting, both which are now under the Scalamandré umbrella, able to be discovered by a new generation of designers. I could name so many other examples, such is the enduring enthusiasm for design traditions. While tastes might change and new designs may offer some stiff competition, the classics, I’m happy to say, continue to thrive. 33

COMMON GROUND Situated in the heart of Downtown Alpharetta, all-day dining destination TBB 122 marries local ingredients with European influences Written by EVAN EDWARDS

CHARMED BY AN 1850’s abode that once occupied the restaurant’s verdant property, Michele Sedgwick, owner of Alpharetta’s TBB 122, had always dreamed of opening an eatery there. “I was immediately taken with this magical property and all of the trees, outdoor spaces and possibilities,” says Sedgwick. The home ended up falling into disrepair, and after many inquiries, Sedgwick purchased the land in 2019. Also the brains behind Theo’s Brother’s Bakery in Crabapple, Sedgwick joined forces with her daughter, Peyton, to introduce a peaceful, all-day dining experience serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, with brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. From caffeinated sips and housemade pastries to delectable entrées, TBB 122 is ideal for all occasions. “The menu is a direct reflection of the common interests Michele and I share,” says executive chef 34

JR Bearden. “From our first conversation, we discovered that we both possess a fervent passion for simple yet delicious preparations.” Channeling influences from Italy, France and Portugal, TBB 122’s culinary team is always “seeking new flavor profiles and building on classics with the best ingredients North Georgia has to offer,” says Bearden. For breakfast and lunch, opt for the avocado toast, daily quiche or pressed pork sandwich on TBB ciabatta bread. The dinner menu boasts a selection of seasonal dishes like baked oysters, agnolotti made with short rib as well as a hearty half chicken. Pair your meal with one of their refreshing drinks, like the lavender-infused house cocktail dubbed “Mrs. Bensen,” an homage to the original homeowner. Additionally, a large communal table as well as adequate bar seating act as perfect resting spots for coffee dates and work meetings. The indoor and outdoor spaces also play host to various events, like live music on the patio every Thursday night and wine dinners. From the food and drinks to the comfortable, chic seating areas, Sedgwick strives to create the ultimate dining venture. “Above all, I want guests to have an authentic experience,” she says. “I want them to feel they are somewhere beyond Alpharetta—somewhere comfortable, welcome and inspired.” tbb122.com

Lasting Looks

SusanFerrier.indd 41

DESIGNED BY ARCHITECT James Means in the 1970s, the charming twostory Dutch Colonial in Buckhead seemed like an ideal spot for a stylish couple to raise their young family. Envisioning a sophisticated blend of classical and contemporary influences, they recruited interior designer Susan Ferrier to help them make it their own. “They wanted a warm, beautiful family home but didn’t want to do an extensive renovation,” says Ferrier. “This project is a great way to show what you can do with an existing space aesthetically.” Replacing the kitchen island’s concrete countertop with a gleaming

white quartzite, for example, instantly established a fresher, more modern milieu. The designer also eliminated a bank of upper cabinetry in favor of a sleek stainless-steel shelf that crosses the large, gridded window over the sink. “The space is fresher and brighter,” she says. “I brought it forward in time.” Indeed, paint and fabric play outsized roles in the redesign. Dark green velvet drapery plays off the light green walls in the formal living room while calling attention to the high, beamed ceilings. A metal fender with a tufted leather cushion surrounds the traditional stone fireplace mantel, adding to a harmonic ensemble 41

of tailored furnishings in complementary shades of cream, sage, ochre and camel. Antique books and paintings by Dutch masters, meanwhile, add a sense of history that befits the architecture. The palette flows into the breakfast room, where floor-to-ceiling plaid draperies accent inky green walls. There, a large wooden lantern made of vintage parts illuminates a round white oak table surrounded by mismatched chairs. “Most people only have one thing hanging in their ceilings, and it should be strong and make you feel as if you’re in the company of something warm,” says Ferrier. “The larger furnishings are like a long, low gong, and the accessories act more like chimes.”

“This project is a great way to show what you can do with an existing space aesthetically.” —Susan Ferrier The designer flipped the switch in the more private areas, establishing a lighter, more casual look. White walls create a soothing backdrop for a tailored sofa and contemporary wing chairs atop a prominently striped rug in the family room. Light walls and textiles likewise buoy the primary bedroom, where floor-to-ceiling sheers create a sense of separation between a contemporary painted vanity and a sleeping zone that includes a plush love seat. “It’s a lighter touch that feels open and clean,” says Ferrier. “It’s boring if every room in your house has the same mood.” Happily settled in their new abode after temporarily relocating during the renovation, the owners are thrilled with the result; Ferrier is equally pleased with the seamless blend of contemporary and historic elements. “It looks like this is the way it always should have,” she says. “I’m satisfied that we were able to address these spaces in a way that was warm and inviting.” See Resources, Back of Book.

BALANCING ELEGANCE AND serenity with a tangible sense of comfort, interior designer Lauren DeLoach managed some genuine alchemy when she transformed this elegant Tudor estate in Buckhead for a young family of five. Though originally conceived in 2003 by architect Stan Dixon, the home has a timeless quality thanks to DeLoach’s reliance on heritage antiques. “I am a big fan of antiques and brown furniture in general,” she confides. “I am always trying to use something that has some patina and history to ground a space.” Part of the home’s soothing vibe is undoubtedly due to DeLoach leaning in to Scandinavian and Northern European touches, including whimsical trim on floor-to-ceiling curtains, original art and white- and blue-stained weathered antique chairs, like the ones in the open, airy breakfast room. A reproduction dining table gives the space an immediate informality, its round shape amenable to conversation.

left DeLoach, who also worked with Ladisic Fine Homes, kept many existing details in the kitchen and added elements to uphold the classic, clean simplicity. A blue and white octagonal jar from Acquisitions Atlanta beautifully complements the apron sink and white countertops. opposite A nubby linen checked fabric from Rogers & Goffigon frames the keeping room’s French doors and windows without blocking light.

“More textures and layers mean more softness and comfort.” —Lauren DeLoach Honoring the homeowner’s love of blue in both the public and private rooms, DeLoach used shades of periwinkle, navy, aqua and robin’s-egg blue to provide cohesion in the home. Nearby, the keeping room’s light blue-checked draperies hung in front of tall French doors create an enveloping effect, a technique she repeats throughout the home. A vaulted ceiling evokes the faint blue of Southern porches and helps to visually lower the space for a more intimate impact. DeLoach used the hue again in the kitchen, painting the cabinets in a soothing shade that feels both classic and on trend, considering the current move away from pure white kitchens. “I’d done a blue kitchen a couple of years ago, and she’d always really loved that kitchen and wanted to evoke that same feeling in her house,” says DeLoach.

For better flow and functionality, a former dining room was transformed into a comfortable, well-used family room. Upholstered walls and draperies in matching prints add a playful layer to the more intense, deeper blue tones seen in the furniture and accessories. “There’s a richer feel to this, more cozy,” says DeLoach. “When they draw the curtains closed at night and they are enveloped in all this upholstery, it’s very quiet and a really nice place to relax.” Upstairs, the primary bedroom is a serene retreat. Drapery was carried up to the ceiling to make the space appear larger, while a charming window seat offers a cozy place for the homeowners to relax. Indeed, a printed grasscloth wallcovering that mimics metallic leafing strikes just the right restful note. “More textures and layers mean more softness and comfort,”

says DeLoach. “We really just wanted to give the walls a little bit of personality.” And applying this method throughout, the result is a warm, inviting hub for the family’s three children and their friends that feels unfussy and approachable, but without sacrificing refinement. “Continuity is super important to me,” says DeLoach. “I love that feeling of walking from one space to the next and having a relationship.” See Resources, Back of Book.

MOVING INTO A NEW HOME comes with the opportunity to reevaluate, take a hard look at your collections and determine what items really mean the most. For Atlanta empty nesters downsizing to Peachtree Hills Place, designer Lauren Davenport of Davenport Designs, Ltd. embraced the task of disassembling two homes she had previously helped design for the clients, editing and combining pieces to create a new oasis that feels like the best of both. Shopping their second home in St. Simons and their primary residence in Atlanta, Davenport and her clients went room by room evaluating needs and wants for their new home. “We considered what we could use and what items the owners truly loved, while deciding which pieces they could hand down to their two daughters,” says Davenport. After taking inventory, Davenport worked out a furniture plan on paper. Well-appointed rooms in both houses were split up and redistributed. “We broke up the old designs and moved pieces to where they would work best in this space,” she says. For instance, the French commode in the foyer used to belong in a living room. That same room’s chandelier was formerly one of a pair that hung in the kitchen. The screen with the aviary scene that takes pride of position in the dining room was culled from a hallway. Occasional tables pulled from here and there serve as end tables in the keeping room. Larger collections, such as the Florentine trays now hanging in the bath and the tole trays in the living room, were divided and spread

out into properly proportioned groupings. “We were lucky to have two houses to choose from with a large amount of furniture and styles,” the designer says. “The only things we had to purchase were rugs and window treatments to fit the new space as well as some fabrics to tie the scheme together.” Most of the upholstery was neutral, so Davenport let cherished artwork and accessories drive the fabric choices. In the more formal living room, Davenport re-skirted a pair of round end tables and added accent pillows in blue hues to complement the Donna Hughes marsh painting. The cool tone

also found a home in the bedrooms. In the primary bedroom, Davenport pulled blue and green from the framed botanicals, painted the walls blue and used green in the pillows and drapery. “We already had the pillows, and fortunately, we were able to reorder more fabric for the window treatments.” Elsewhere, Davenport found new spots to show off heirlooms, memorable pieces from travels and favored finds. “When we let things go, we didn’t lose any big heartbreakers,” says Davenport. Thanks to careful selections, both in scale and sentiment, everything is exactly where it belongs. See Resources, Back of Book. 73

ABOUT the showhouse SITUATED NEAR CHASTAIN PARK, this 12,500-square-foot California-contemporary masterpiece serves as the sublime 2023 Home for the Holidays Showhouse. Castro Design Studio, in its first Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles showhouse, partnered with builder Pradera Group and Kit Castaldo Design on a soft modern home with impeccable detail and lofty spaces throughout. Clean lines, geometric shapes, top-of-the-line finishes and a sleek exterior offer the ultimate in luxury living. The covered stucco entryway presents a twist on the traditional front porch, leading guests to an oversized steel pivot door that matches the entry’s scale and reveals the stairwell and grand family room. Abundant windows and overscaled glass emphasize indooroutdoor connectivity in grand and cozy spaces. A two-story window bank displays the main staircase, which is suspended in dramatic fashion. In the great room, 13-foot-tall bifold doors open the entire wall to the pool terrace. The study beckons with its glass-filled setting and coved ceiling. Interior finishes such as plaster and cove ceilings speak to clean lines inside and out. The kitchen, designed by Kingdom Woodworks, features dual islands and openness to the great

room, with its 15-foot ceilings and a 6-foot fireplace, as well as, to the breakfast room, scullery and butler’s pantry. The pool, positioned between the covered porch and family room, also serves as a decorative element in the landscape, which extends to lawn space and trees serving as a natural privacy buffer. A separate outdoor kitchen and fireside porch complete the backyard entertaining spaces with a pool bath tucked into the main floor. The full basement, planned with a lounge area, wine room, game room/golf simulator, theater and gym, opens to a courtyard for practicing yoga on beautiful days. Situated on the second floor, the primary suite with a sitting area offers pool and backyard views. All six bedrooms have ensuite baths and walk-in closets, including his and hers closets in the primary suite. The low, sloped metal roof and stucco exterior seamlessly ties the home with a porte cochere and attached one-car garage, while a separate three-car garage is outfitted with lifts for additional vehicles. The showhouse features the talents of the Southeast’s top interior designers for this treasured holiday tradition. —Lori Johnston

stablished in 2000, Brittany Cason Interior Design (BCID) is a full-service interior design firm passionate about blending the past and present to curate bold, sophisticated spaces. By weaving historical and architectural details with modern flair, BCID creates timeless designs that mirror the personalities of each client and project. BCID has been published in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Luxury Magazine, Atlanta Magazine’s HOME, Schumacher’s One Hundred Rooms to Know and Love, Business of Home and the LA Times. Founder Brittany Cason Johnston’s love of art, history and travel is the catalyst behind BCID’s distinctive work. Starting at an early age, Brittany’s passion for design has been paramount, and still to this day, she continues to nurture this devotion by traveling, curating a table at the New York Botanical Gardens Orchid Dinner, and participating in various showhouses. She and her talented team are handson throughout the design process — focusing on the specific details that add style and create comfort for their clients throughout the Southeast, New York, and California.

Imagining the whims of an artistic young girl who relocated to Atlanta from California, Johnston gave in to all the spoils in this tween bedroom. Bold colors, playful patterns and fanciful prompts are designed to stimulate creativity. See more at “California Cool” on atlantahomesmag.com

otts Mason Interiors is an Atlanta-based design firm established by Emi Mason and Ashley Potts. After working together under esteemed decorator Phoebe Howard, they combined forces to create their own firm in the summer of 2022. Their experiences allowed them to build a partnership highlighting each other’s individual styles and strengths. Emi’s degree from Auburn University’s CIDA-accredited interior design program provided extensive training in rendering, color theory and visual presentation. Her attention to detail and love of practical functionality is complemented by Ashley’s eye for color and scale. Ashley’s talents combine the sensibility and simplicity of Scandinavian life with the formality and beauty of southern design. Together, they create inviting, livable spaces that are as beautiful as they are functional.

Nestled in the heart of Haynes Manor, this formal dining room is the perfect space for its young homeowners and their three children to entertain. Thanks to the use of performance fabrics and rugs, its serene design strikes a balance between function and formality.

WD is a full-service design firm founded by Kristin Wadsworth, an Atlanta-based interior designer who earned her Bachelor’s degree from The University of Georgia. Prior to starting her own design business in 2017, she worked in commercial real estate. Her love and creativity for design pushed her to begin managing projects on her own, both on a residential and commercial basis. Kristin loves hosting and bringing people together and believes good design sets the stage for beautiful memories. From the perfectly placed candlesticks on a styled coffee table, to drapery panels softly enveloping a room’s walls, a simple room can be transformed into one’s sanctuary that provides happiness and comfort. KWD’s passion lies in curating functional but casually elegant spaces. The firm strives for each project to reflect the uniqueness of the client’s geography, heritage, and personal interests. Outside of her design studio, you can find her spending time with her husband and two school-aged children. Kristin’s heart lies with her family, and she loves her fur babies.

A handsome office is adorned by slate-gray walls and woodlandinspired chanterelle finished furniture. Window treatments feature a masculine diamond-patterned velvet adorned by a rich burgundy trim to complement the client’s treasured artwork.

Barbara Westbrook WESTBROOK INTERIORS westbrookinteriors.com @barbarawestbrookinteriors (404) 355-9430

estbrook Interiors, an Atlanta interior design firm specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects, employs Coco Chanel’s philosophy “Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury” in each and every project, whether it’s a private residence, vacation home, large-scale renovation, spa or professional office. And like Chanel’s “little black dress,” our interiors are effortlessly elegant, comfortably tailored and always classic. With each project, our goal is to make the design feel cohesive and reflect not only the character of the home, but also the client’s tastes. And whether we are integrating a client’s treasured objects into their new home or accumulating every piece, it is our goal for every project to look as though each meticulously curated piece was collected over time. Barbara Westbrook launched Westbrook Interiors in 1992 after designing under the tutelage of venerable talents Nancy Braithwaite and Gandy-Peace. She has made her mark on interiors employing her signature style: tasteful, tactile, timeless and simply elegant. Her work has appeared in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Architectural Digest, Garden & Gun, House Beautiful, Traditional Home and more. Her first design book, Gracious Rooms, was released in the spring of 2015.

ristan’s passion for design began in her childhood when she would clip pictures from her grandmother’s Southern Accents magazines to create design boards. This passion took Kristan through the University of Georgia’s Landscape Architecture program. In 2006, she combined her training and talent for interior design with her landscape architecture training and founded Kristan & Co., a full-service design firm. Kristan’s work employs clean lines, soothing palettes, and an understanding of space that intersects function and flow. Combining her understanding of architecture, interiors, and landscape, Kristan creates an atmosphere that flows from the front door to the breakfast table and accentuates her client’s taste and lifestyle. Kristan seeks to uncover the beauty of a home while challenging the conventional boundaries of style.

hitney Durham of Whitney Durham Interiors has designed spaces across the Southeast—ranging from complex home renovations to more intimate small projects. Her love of original art and color, combined with special antique and vintage finds, is the foundation for her memorable projects. Whitney’s design aesthetic is often described as fresh, traditional, and approachable with a modern twist. Many publications including Southern Home Magazine, The Cottage Journal Magazine, Country Home Magazine, HGTV Magazine, and The Atlanta JournalConstitution have spotlighted Whitney’s projects. Whitney was also a selected designer for the 2020 Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine Serenbe Showhouse and the 2022 Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens. Whitney was recently featured on the new television show Design School with Ballard Designs, where she had the opportunity to showcase her beautiful project and take viewers through the process of designing a space. A proud graduate of Auburn University, Whitney maintains a consistent client base cultivated by organic referrals. Decorating is Whitney’s true passion exceeded only by her love for her husband, young boys, and yellow lab littermates, Gus and Annie.
