Dr. William Davis
Dr. William Davis is author of the No. 1 New York Times bestselling book Wheat Belly: Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight, and Find Your Path Back to Health, now debuting internationally in over 10 foreign languages. Wheat Belly has helped spark a nationwide reconsideration of the conventional advice to “eat more healthy whole grains.” Formerly an interventional cardiologist, he now confines his practice to prevention and reversal of coronary disease in his practice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. FOLLOWING THE SMASHING success of the Beauty School in Utah, Young Living took this favorite event across the Atlantic to Europe! Visiting beautifully scenic cities in Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Austria, this hands-on event demonstrated the connection between Young Living skincare products and its world-class essential oils. The Beauty School’s agenda guided passionate members on a journey through the field of essential oils: their history, botany, chemistry, and benefits in Young Living skincare products. Of course, presenters also focused on and explained the value of a skincare regimen infused with Young Living products. The highlight of the event was when members used their newfound knowledge to apply and experience the products. Each attendee was given a beauty kit with products samples, a variety of skincare tools, an instruction book in their own language, and Amoressence™—the essential oil blend created exclusively for this special event. Gary Young: A Somalian Adventure This is the fourth of an expected five-part series highlighting real events from Gary’s frankincense exploration in Somalia, written by Gary himself. WE DROVE 4.5 hours, a distance of approximately 450 kilometers inland from the ancient frankincense seaport of Bosaso. There is no actual road for over 350 kilometers. We just simply picked the best terrain possible to drive on, normally following dry riverbeds. Timershie is a village of 2,500 people and is the largest of the four villages we drove through to get to the mountains Sultan Chief Yusuf of Puntland and Gary in where the frankincense trees grow. Several the desert 300 kilometers inland other villages in the surrounding area have from the ancient frankincense a collective population of 55,000. These people make their living from collecting frankincense resin and raising goats, a very poor living at that. When I arrived in Timershie, they held a celebration upon my arrival because I was the first foreigner to ever come to their village; it was a big event for them. They took me to their finest home to stay, the only one with a cement floor; and they brought us their best food, goat liver and onions. They brought their best grass mats for us to sleep on and their best blankets. Without question it was a most humbling and blessed experience. That evening a young man came to visit and shared his family’s experience. A few weeks before my arrival, his wife was expecting and was having problems with labor. The 90-year-old blind midwife said, “I cannot help her; the baby is backwards and will not deliver.” They called outside for help. Chief Yusuf sent his driver to bring her to Bosaso. The jeep arrived after five hours and loaded the wife and husband and headed to Bosaso to get medical help. Approximately 90 kilometers from the village, she died; and, of course, the baby died as well. They have no medical services at all, no clinics or hospitals and no ambulances or airplanes for emergencies. This means that when there is an emergency health problem, they have to drive over riverbeds and desert terrain for a minimum of four to five hours, if the weather is good, in order to get medical help. When the rainy season comes, the riverbeds, called “wadis,” are all engorged with water up to 15 feet deep; and passage is impossible. This goes on two times a year and can last up to two to three months each time. When this happens, travel is impossible. What does this mean to the people of these villages if there is a medical emergency? Often DEATH!

Dr. Dan Purser recently toured seven major cities in Japan with his “New Health Concepts from the USA” presentation. Nearly 2,000 attendees learned from Dr. Purser and discovered new ways to
use Young Living products. Members in attendance were also surprised with several new products, including NingXia Red® singles, Lavender essential oil sample packs, the new Starter Kit, Sacred Frankincense™, and the Home Diffuser. These much-anticipated products will officially launch in May and July.
SOUTHEAST ASIA
March was a milestone month for Singapore. The market surpassed $1 million in monthly sales, making it the fastestgrowing market in Young Living! In April the region had a successful rollout of the Young Living 360⁰ Tour with Crown Diamonds Adam Green and Frances Fuller. The duo visited Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta. It was an enriching event with a balance of business and product education. Adam shared his fresh ideas on how to fast track your way to success with Young Living. Frances shared her expertise on overcoming stress and tension with essential oils.

Young Living Canada celebrated its oneyear anniversary with nearly 500 friends at a big event in Toronto. Cole Woolley, Young Living’s vice president of research and discovery, presented on one of Young Living Canada’s newest products: Progessence Phyto Plus. Travis Ogden, Young Living’s chief operating officer, also spoke on the status of the company and, specifically, the Canadian market’s exciting growth. We also had the pleasure of hearing from Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl from Oola about how to better balance our lives.

Local members are enjoying an increased number of exciting events led by European and American leaders, including guests from Global Headquarters and our regional country managers. This month we will welcome U.S. Royal Crown Diamond Marcella Vonn Harting, who will hold interactive introductory events in
Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Poland. Anticipation for the International Grand Convention is building. Our Share to Win challenge is now closed, and we have confirmed 20 well-deserving winners. We are excited to welcome European members to Salt Lake City in June! YL 360 South East Asia Tour with Frances Fuller, Royal Crown Diamond & Adam Green, Crown Diamond (Canada) For the YL 360 tour, we got to bring Frances Fuller, Royal Crown Diamond and Adam Green, Crown Diamond (Canada) to Malaysia and Indonesia for a time of sharing and learning. Members who attended got valuable product knowledge on useful oils for stress from Frances Fuller, and fresh business-building insights from Adam Green. In addition, because of the growth in leadership in Malaysia, we conducted our first ever Next Generation Leaders Meeting in Kuala Lumpur which was attended by exclusively selected Executives who have shown great potential in becoming Malaysia’s next generation leaders.

Compensation Plan Training by Dale Billeter, Global Trainer South East Asia was happy to have global trainer, Dale Billeter for a compensation plan training on the 8th in Singapore, and product trainings in Kuala Lumpur on the 6th and Penang on the 7th May. Members from Singapore got a chance to understand better our Compensation Plam and they also got an introduction on AIRASE by Marianne Billeter. On the other hand, our Malaysian members also had a very informative session on useful tips and information on Young Living oils.

Why Young Living? with Marcella Vonn Harting, Royal Crown Diamond (US) Singapore was privileged to experience a wonderful evening with Marcella Vonn Harting, Royal Crown Diamond, on the 14th May at Suntec Convention Centre. She helped members get to know themselves better and identify the key reason why they do what they do which is very crucial in building a successful business.This is very helpful in identifying what approach to take in their Young Living business. It was a great experience as members got to mingle with each other through fun and interactive activities. This was definitely a fun and enriching experience for all our members and we look forward to more of Marcella at our Malaysia Grand Opening.

Norlizah Ali/ Noor Azhar Parnen, Route #1 Silver in Six Achiever (SG) Advanced to the rank of Silver within 5 months of becoming Executive We started using Young Living essential oils to help our 5 yr old son, Ilhan who has autism. It was a difficult period for us as he was getting more and more aggressive in his behaviour. We remember getting the oils in December 2012. That night, Ilhan slept soundly throughout the night, something he has not been able to do for a while as he kept waking up and having meltdowns. Many have noticed the difference in Ilhan. He is now more cheerful, more sociable and makes more eye contact with people around him. Ilhan knows almost all the oils that are available in Young Living Singapore. In fact, he was the one who was most excited to receive the Aroma Complete set so he can get to learn more about the oils! All our 4 children are well-oiled with the ‘magic oils’ as they call them. But since knowing YL I’ve discarded all the other oils as their label always states “DO NOT CONSUME INTERNALLY”. The first wonder EO for me from YL was Lavender. At that time I was having thick dried and peeling skin under my feet especially the heels. No medication helps. After 5 days of application, new skin starts showing. Next was Thieves. I was always having sore throat and mouth ulcer. With 2-3 drops on my throat almost everyday, now the sore throat does not occur that often and the mouth ulcer is completely gone. Since embarking on my journey with YL, I never leave home without the above oils. Also included in my first aid pouch which I carry in my bag are Peppermint, Valor and White Angelica so I can share when opportunity arises with the people around me. Thank You YL.
