Hello, My Friends, The year 2020 is truly a year of transformation for Young Living, so get out your Transformation™ blend and start layering it on—well, maybe a few drops here and there and some diffusing to get ready for the rocket launch: the new Silver Bound bonus program, starting April 1. I think it is pretty well-known that I am very passionate about our compensation plan. When I was introduced to the network marketing industry, I had no idea of the magnitude of possibilities this business offered and how good products and a good compensation plan would alter my life forever. As I began to build my business, I realized that a strong beginning is so important, especially for

someone like me who was in great financial need at that time. When I met Gary, our lives became driven together in everything we did. The experiences that both of us had with previous network marketing companies gave us tremendous background in understanding good compensation for our members. With our growth, we were constantly looking for ways to make our compensation plan better for our members, and many of you were part of those changes. Our current compensation plan, which I think is the best in the industry, has helped so many of you to prosper with remarkable growth and so much success as you have advanced in rank. Gary and I created the Rising Star bonus to have a good business structure and be motivational for new members. However, it didn’t seem to work that way, as many found it too complex and few participated. We soon came to the conclusion that we needed a revision. How could we make our business fun, exciting, and enticing to our new members with more financial benefit as they began to build? Over the last year, there has been a lot of discussion about the need to make a change. Many new ideas and plans were presented, and as Silver Bound evolved, I felt the excitement growing with my distributor heart and mind. I could see that this was going to be exactly what we needed, and I even wanted to go out in the field and build with all of you. I want to especially applaud our Diamonds, who so excitedly chose to support our new plan as we combine the Elite Express and Rising Star bonuses
to create our new Silver Bound bonus program. We will see greater growth with higher OGV and faster rank advancement by supporting our members who are just beginning to build with this new rewards program. Most exciting is that all of the beginning ranks, from Silver and below—wherever you are—will have the same opportunity to participate in this new program. I believe that there will be many who haven’t built who will become excited with our new plan and will want to build. This is a perfect opportunity for those of you with higher ranks to look into your organizations and see who might be waiting, wanting, and will welcome your help. FOUNDATION FOCUS: EMPOWERING AND INSPIRING NEWS Celebrating our fifth graduating class
On February 15, 19 bright students tossed their caps in celebration of their remarkable achievement: becoming the fifth graduating class from the Young Living Academy and maintaining the school’s 100 percent graduation rate! Many of these students are the first in their families to graduate, and the trajectory of their lives is forever changed by the academic opportunity they received at the Academy. Domenica Lopez is one such student. The teachers at her previous school didn’t have the time or resources to cater to Domenica’s unique learning needs. She also suffered from bullying at the hands of her peers. That all changed when Domenica joined the Academy in ninth grade. Her teachers collaborated to find ways to cater to her learning style while teaching the same curriculum, which made her feel included. Her fellow classmates immediately befriended Domenica, making her feel right at home and giving her an opportunity to thrive. As a high school graduate, Domenica now looks forward to continuing her education to pursue a career as a chef. In addition to academic achievement, the Academy’s curriculum stresses the importance of service and includes a senior project in which students get involved and give back to their community. Valedictorian of the 2020 class Arianna Vaque, who aspires to become a marine biologist, says, “Let’s not forget to put into practice the vision of our founders, Gary and Mary Young, to continue helping others without expecting anything in return.” This concept was exemplified in the community service project led by Arianna and her classmate Ximena. The girls mobilized their fellow seniors to

The week of graduation, the students and visiting sponsors served together, picking up trash and painting murals, renewing the once-unkempt space. We are so proud of our graduates and are grateful for the dedication of our donors who make these achievements possible. Our graduates look

YOUNG LIVING PERCHERONS WIN AT THE NATIONAL WESTERN STOCK SHOW YL team stamps out the competition and takes home several blue ribbons Josef Young, son of D. Gary and Mary Young, recently sat by Percheron Show Driver Tim Sparrow for a victory lap at one of the most well-attended western stock shows in the United States. A big blue ribbon rested between them. The thundering hooves of the draft horses matched the beats of the celebration. It was a beautiful, triumphant moment at the 114th anniversary of the National Western Stock Show (NWSS) in January, but it wasn’t always this way. It has been years since Gary first purchased these horses and brought them to the Young Living farm in Mona, Utah. It took many years for the team to rise to compete on a national level. Fast forward to January, where in front of 707,922 guests over 16 days, the Young Living Percherons captured first place in the 8-Horse Hitch,
Ladies’ Cart, Men's Cart, and 4-Horse Hitch events. The grand finale was the 8-Horse Hitch. Each time the team’s name was called out in the ring, more people gathered back at the stalls to see these magnificent animals and learn more about Young Living’s phenomenal products. This was the kind of uniqueness and enthusiasm that Gary knew would set Young Living apart as the world leader in essential oils, and having Mary and Josef in the crowd as the team’s biggest fans fueled the performance. The future is bright for Young Living, and the Percherons continue to represent our message and products well. From proper communication to taking time to relax, Ana Karina Cardenas gives us tips for building a successful business and try many recipes until you find the ones
Like many Young Living leaders, Ana Karina Cardenas’ path to success started out simply enough. She saw a social media post from Royal Crown Diamond Annie Hauser and eventually became a member of Annie’s downline. That’s when Ana Karina says her life changed. She started sharing about her use of YL products on Facebook; then Annie coached her on how to sign up the people who responded. “I still get most of my signups by sharing on social media,” she says, “particularly on Facebook.” To anyone just getting into Young Living, she knows it can be overwhelming. She advises: “Do not stress about it too much. Think about oils like cooking. You will find
you fall in love with. Someone in your family may like one more than you, and you might like one that nobody likes. You will modify recipes and finally make your own, and nothing will explode if you add a little bit more salt.” When she’s not having the best day– because we all have those less-than-perfect ones–she advises resting to refocus and get back on track. “If we are doing this business, it’s because we are seeking freedom, right? So it wouldn’t make sense to be too harsh on ourselves. I give myself grace and take a little break.” She never takes a break, though, without making sure there will be someone “feeding the bonfire,” as she calls it. Just like you can’t leave a bonfire, come back, and expect it to still be lit, neither can you leave your business for too long without someone to keep putting twigs, sticks, and—hopefully—logs in it to keep it burning. Whenever she takes a break, she finds support in her upline and downline, and leaves enough social media resources scheduled to be posted. Most of all, Ana Karina says: “Do not be afraid of how great you can be. You are meant to shine. You are so worthy and capable of achieving your wildest dreams and goals. Invest in personal growth, read books, attend seminars, believe in yourself, and go get it!” Do you need to try more “recipes” or rest? When we asked about your favorite Young Living memories, we had no idea how many beautiful memories we’d receive. Our hearts are especially warmed by your love for Founder Gary Young, and we appreciate your willingness to share. Here are a few of those memories: “My greatest memory is of Gary speaking to an overflowing room. The organizers asked for volunteers to come and sit on the floor up front. I thought, yes! I didn't hesitate to sit on the floor—just to the left of Gary’s and Mary's feet. I got to see their interactions with each other and their children. He was genuine and his love for his own family as well as his YL family was incredible to witness. I'm so thankful for that experience. Young Living improved my health and outlook on life over five years ago. I haven’t turned back since, and I'm so thankful!” —Rhonda R. “My favorite YL memory is going to the Mona farm for the first time at the 2017 Silver Retreat. It was wonderful to witness Seed to Seal®, grow relationships with downline and cross-line friends, and—most of all—to hear Gary speak. I will always remember how he told us to pray over our children while we put oils on them. It was one of those times where time stood still—a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It is something that has helped us countless times and that my five-year-old still requests from me. I was a brand-new member of only three months and was asked to join a table at the very front of the convention hall. I was so moved listening to Gary Young speak only eight feet away from me. DIRECTIONS Serves 4 1. Heat oil in a medium saucepan. Add onions, peppers, cumin, salt, garlic, ginger, and cilantro and saute over medium heat for a few minutes until cooked through. 2.
