Performance Netherlands was ranked first in the medal table at the championships having secured three gold medals, two silver and one bronze. France won the most medals with seven, two of which were gold. European nations won 10 of the 12 gold medals and 80.6 per cent of all medals. Host nation Denmark achieved a bronze medal in the Laser Radial class thanks to Anne-Marie Rindom. Denmark also placed fourth in the Nacra 17 Foiling class, narrowly missing out on a bronze medal.
