Careers, Employability & Enrichment West London College

Last week the Careers team, and two tutors accompanied L3.2 Business and ICT students from Hammersmith & Fulham campus to attend a workshop on Inspiring the Future in Technology organised by Bank of America in London. The workshop which was attended by other schools was to enlighten young people about a financial institution’s ability to fulfil its function which relies intrinsically on technology, and to know the opportunities in tech young people could explore as a future career. There were volunteer experts who shared their career experiences in the banking sector with our students - ranging from roles in cyber security to stop hackers and keep data safe, to using robotics and artificial intelligence to help build their businesses, innovation in banking tech, managerial and human resource functions.
