Jung Hoon Kim was drawn to the glitz of nightlife after moving to Las Vegas to pursue a degree in hospitality. He’s a senior VIP services manager at Palms Casino Resort, but it’s his love for music that has him rubbing elbows with the likes of Far East Movement and Drake. As a hip-hop and R&B artist known as The Legendary Poet, Kim has made a name for himself on two continents. “I’m international, which is why I want to be in the music industry,” says Kim, who has already released two albums in his native Korea. But his goal is to conquer entertainment worldwide, and he’s working on a third album of songs in both Korean and English, which he hopes to release in the U.S. this year.
