Manual peeler for cellulose casing: A productive solution for starters
The ViskoTeepak manual peeler is designed to remove the casings from small quantities of hotdogs. It's practical when a new product is being developed or introduced. The maximum throughput is 300 kg per hour, depending on the caliber and length.
Small equipment that's easy to install
Because it's so compact — just 40 x 50 cm — the ViskoTeepak manual peeler needs only air pressure to run. As basic equipment, it works well with easy-topeel products and installs quickly with a step-by-step method. It should be placed on a table, and a logical way of processing should be established individually at the site.
A tool with a long history
The maximum throughput is 300 kg per hour, depending on the caliber and length
The manual peeler has been used by our company for a long time. In the 1980s and '90s, the cellulose casing was relatively new, having emerged in response to new demand for skinless sausages. Many companies were founded from scratch, especially in Central and Eastern Europe, to manufacture this kind of product. So, we developed the equipment for demonstrations. The manual peeler was well accepted. It was used to introduce peeled sausages to new customers before they otherwise found it necessary to invest in expensive equipment.
New markets are calling
ViskoTeepak has never been active in promoting its manual peelers, but we've kept this solution alive over the years by implementing it at individual locations. Today we see a similar trend with the popularization of vegan foods. New producers that have entered the market are eager to try (vegan) cellulose casings. Thanks to a great initiative from our purchasers as well as from our project engineers and maintenance department we will now build this equipment on a regular basis and offer it to customers who want to familiarize themselves with our Wienie-Pak casing.
Get your own manual peeler
There are different ways to get your own manual peeler. First, you can obtain a six-week rental from ViskoTeepak for use as a service tool. The rental cost will be zero as long as you combine it with ViskoTeepak casing purchases. The other option is to buy the unit directly by contacting our sales service team or your ViskoTeepak representative.
