WHAT IS THE U.S. SUPERYACHT ASSOCIATION (USSA)? The USSA is the ONLY trade association, representing hundreds of businesses and thousands of individuals, whose mission is “To promote the Superyacht Industry of the United States and to serve as its voice.”

Why Join the USSA? • Have your issues advocated as part of a larger voice in Washington • Access to shows and events across the U.S. and around the world that are focused specifically on the large-yacht segment • Promote your company’s products and services directly to those captains and crew working on superyachts • Network with other professionals in the superyacht industry

WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE USSA? • To promote members’ products and services through global representation and networking • To advance the superyacht industry in the United States • To serve as a coordinated advocate on major issues affecting the industry

HOW DID THE USSA GET STARTED? The USSA was formed in 2005 in direct response to the lack of a unified voice in the United States for the unique needs of the large yacht segment of the marine industry. Over the years, the 11 founding members have worked to grow the USSA to represent the superyacht industry in more than 20 states and seven foreign countries.

WHO CAN JOIN THE USSA? • Business Memberships (voting) are offered to those companies and individuals having a bona fide presence and occupation in the superyacht industry of the United States. • Affiliate Memberships (non-voting) provide non-U.S. companies that are stakeholders in the U.S. superyacht industry the opportunity for representation in the United States’ market, as well as national and international networking and advocacy.

USSA MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS • Global representation for your products and services • Networking opportunities—nationally and internationally • Website exposure and “USSA Member Directory” (distributed nationally & internationally) • Advocacy on issues affecting the superyacht industry of the United States • Exclusive trade show participation and membership events designed to promote your business and build relationships with captains and crew across the U.S. and the World

together we make a difference Advocacy—We need your VOICE • Join an association that has worked diligently to establish strong relationships with regulatory and congressional officials in Washington at the Coast Guard, Customs and Border Patrol and the State Department to continue to make it easier for foreign flagged vessels to cruise the United States wand utilize the goods and services of the U.S. industry.

Marketing • The USSA identifies events in the U.S. and abroad that provide members with the opportunity to interact with their target markets. Group buying power and a unified presence makes these events an even more successful venture for our members. • The USSA produces an annual membership directory that is distributed through key superyacht events inside and outside the U.S. In addition to providing members with excellent exposure by name and industry category to crucial markets, this directory also includes vital information for U.S. entry procedures. • The USSA maintains a strong web presence that serves a dual purpose: to promote the goods and services of our members to the worldwide superyacht community as well as to serve as a vital resource to captains and crew worldwide. • E-newsletters. Members receive electronic newsletters that will keep them up to date on the significant issues that can affect their business in the superyacht industry.

Networking • The USSA provides members the opportunity to establish a strong network of fellow companies in the U.S. and around the world offering their products and services to the superyacht industry.

WORKING TOGETHER FOR YOU! The USSA works closely with other marine-focused associations sharing common advocacy goals to further unify the voice of the large yacht industry in the United States. These include: the National Marine Manufacturers Association, the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF), the San Diego Superyacht Association (SDSA), the Florida Yacht Brokers Association (FYBA), Pacific NW Yachting Association (PNWYA), International SeaKeepers Society and the International Superyacht Society (ISS), AYSS, SMTA, NMTA, and others.
