Brooke ADLER

With careful attention to function and durability, interior designer Brooke Adler creates stunning and thoughtful spaces for clients throughout Charlotte and beyond. With two boys and a dog at home, Adler fully understands her clients’ desire for spaces to be simultaneously beautiful and functional, which is exactly what inspired this breakfast area.

“This client was shifting her farmhouse style to a more modern and sophisticated look,” explains Adler, “and, being at the center of the kitchen and living spaces, this room had to bridge that gap.” The homeowner’s wish list was simple: lots of texture, blues, greens, and subtle prints. So Adler installed a rattan Made Goods chandelier and complementary rattan dining chairs from Essentials for Living, and paired them with a simple Bernhardt table with a hint of farmhouse style.

“We brought in colors from the Schumacher wallpaper with the pillows and bench fabric,” says Adler. “We needed to maximize space for her family of three—and a dog that loves to sit in chairs! I love mixing colors, patterns, and textures in a way that’s not overwhelming, balancing those priorities with the functionality needed for families. This is a space where I wanted the family to laugh, connect, and feel comfortable.”
