PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Training & Development (M.S.) is for professionals who design, deliver and evaluate learning programs for adults or for those who are looking to change careers into the field of continuing education and training.

This degree meets the growing need for performancebased education in:

FEATURES

Offered completely online, this program is designed for working professionals. With three semesters per year and two eight-week sessions each semester, there are six entry points for the program. USF designs course schedules three years in advance so that students with busy professional lives can plan their degree path, with the option to complete in as few as 12 months.

FINANCING YOUR EDUCATION

Students are eligible for financial aid in the form of student loans, payment plans and tuition reimbursement deferment. All students should submit the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov. USF’s code is 001664.

OUTCOMES

Graduates of this program will be able to:

• Design, deliver, assess and apply an instructional design system to educational and training programs uniquely suited to adults

• Develop and apply standards of measurement and evaluation criteria appropriate for individual projects as well as organizations

• Apply adult learning and development theory to create motivational strategies to increase performance of individuals, teams, and organizations

• Practice skills in negotiation, collaboration, and gaining buy-in

• Develop an understanding of the application of learning technologies

• Provide an ethical and humanistic basis for the training of adults
