1ST VICE PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Greetings My Hawk Family,

It is with great excitement that I send this message to my beloved brothers and sisters, who like me, were nurtured on the hallowed campus of our beloved alma mater the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The role of the 1st Vice President is a very important role. The 1st Vice President serves as Chairperson of the Development Committee. In that capacity I along with my committee members, which consist of some 1st Vice Presidents from various UMES NAA local alumni chapters, have the specific responsibilities of implementing UMES NAA philanthropic efforts through sponsorships, partnerships, grants, and fundraising events. As a committee, we are dedicated to these endeavors Many of you may have witnessed our fundraising efforts during Homecoming, where we held the 2nd Annual Gift Basket Raffle. We thank those who supported our fundraising efforts during homecoming. We encourage you to continue to show your Hawk Love and Pride by supporting our efforts. If the Development Committee sounds like something you would like to learn more about, please contact me at development@umesnaa.org.
