I am honoured to offer my sincerest congratulations on the completion of your degree at the University of Lethbridge. It is particularly poignant because you have done so under an unprecedented and challenging set of circumstances - during a global pandemic. You have shown flexibility, creativity, resilience, and maturity in completing your academic journey and we are so proud of how well you have handled the situation and everything you have been able to accomplish in spite of the restrictions. Your bravery, perseverance and courage are a testament to the change makers you will be as you move forward into the next phase of your life. Convocation is a day of well-deserved celebration. For students, it signifies the completion of years of hard work and the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their lives. For families, it is a day to recognize those years of dedication and to enthusiastically embrace the pride that convocation evokes. For all of us, convocation is a time to look optimistically into the future, share in centuries-old academic traditions and, most importantly, celebrate our graduates.
