Pre-Professional Transfer Programs

Students at uLethbridge may prepare themselves to apply for admission to a number of professional programs offered at other universities.

Through arrangements between uLethbridge and professional faculties at other universities, transfer programs have been established for the professional programs listed below. Admission to these programs at the destination institutions is by quota and is competitive.

Dentistry

University of Alberta • uLethbridge program of admission: BSc • Eligible uLethbridge majors: agricultural biotechnology, biochemistry, biological sciences, chemistry, neuroscience. • Applicants must meet general admission requirements.

Engineering

University of Alberta • uLethbridge program of admission: PreProfessional Transfer Program in Engineering • Space is limited and admission is competitive. • Applicants must present English Language Arts 30-1, Mathematics 30-1, Mathematics 31, Physics 30, and Chemistry 30. Typically an average of 75% or higher on these courses is required.

Journalism

University of Regina • uLethbridge program of admission: BA • Eligible uLethbridge majors: student’s choice.

Majors in economics, English, history, political science, or sociology may be of particular interest. • Applicants must meet general admission requirements.

Law

University of Alberta or University of Calgary • uLethbridge program of admission: BA • Eligible uLethbridge majors: student’s choice. • Applicants must meet general admission requirements

Medicine

University of Alberta or University of Calgary • uLethbridge program of admission: BSc • Eligible uLethbridge majors: agricultural biotechnology, biochemistry, biological sciences, chemistry, neuroscience are of particular interest. • Applicants must meet general admission requirements.

Social Work

University of Calgary • uLethbridge program of admission: BA • Eligible uLethbridge majors: student’s choice.

Majors in economics, political science, psychology, or sociology may be of particular interest. • Applicants must meet general admission requirements. • The final two years of the Bachelor of Social Work program are offered at the Lethbridge campus by the University of Calgary, Faculty of Social Work,

Lethbridge Division.

Veterinary Medicine
