Here’s to a fantastic academic year!

There are exciting things happening at uLethbridge.

The past few months have been a wild ride, and few know that better than you. These are strange times. It seems incomprehensible that it is September, and the University is quiet. We have approximately 500 students on campus, with the remainder of our students taking courses online.

Although online learning is not the preferred state for our students, we recently hosted our New Student Orientation virtually and I am pleased to say that it was our more successful ever in terms of participation. We mailed 1,773 NSO boxes and for those who didn’t receive one, we had a virtual version online. More than 2,600 session attendees participated in 78 Zoom meetings, 8 Zoom drop-in rooms and 2 Zoom webinars. This was the work of 5 Faculties, 55 academic departments and 31 student service areas! I am so proud of our recruitment team, who have spent the summer calling our future students to make sure that they had what they need for a successful transition to University. They also created a campus tour video to show off our campus to students who are unable to visit. We will share this with you in the coming weeks.
