50 years! What a journey with God!

Personally, as a son of this house, saved and discipled here, leading Trinity is one of the greatest privileges that I’ve had. But I won’t be here when this house celebrates 100 years. My time on earth would have expired by then. But what will Trinity look like in another 50 years?

This commemorative book is entitled Living Out the Prophetic and rightly so, as we entered the year 2020 with fresh perspectives of what we were doing though the Decade of Expansion. God revealed to us many prophecies that were spoken over this house in the 1990s and how our plans for the Decade of Expansion were aligned to them.

God is not limited by time, but He’s been working in Trinity through the past 50 years. This book records for us milestones of faith that we have taken as a church. Whether it’s a decision to purchase an air-conditioning unit for church in the 1970s or to build an additional basement carpark for Trinity@Paya Lebar in the 2000s – God has been bringing us on a journey of faith so that every

generation of Trinitarians will leave a lasting legacy for the next generation.

The stories in this book are not for us to reminisce and be all caught up in nostalgia. It’s not about how many people we have brought the Gospel to, or the number of counties we have impacted countries. Rather, they are clarion calls for us to continue to serve and give courageously of ourselves to our ever-faithful God.

Every crossing of a threshold launches us into greater things, yet they are not without great effort. Living out the prophetic does not exclude the circumstances of life.

I believe God allowed COVID-19 to happen in our Jubilee year, to expedite our expansion into the digital space.

As God gave us the creativity and wisdom to overcome, we pushed boundaries and attempted many firsts.

We can’t go back to the way we came. God has new territories for us as we crossed into our 50th year.

We can’t “do church” as we have, for God has positioned us to pursue new frontiers.

We need to continue Pressing Onward in our Decade of Expansion and in God’s Destiny for us as Trinitarians. What would that entail for us? It would require us to move from elementary to maturity, from a previous dimension of anointing to new dimensions of anointing, to continually be a people empowered by the Spirit.

Let us continue pressing forward in our God-given vision to build a Trinity with Vibrant Atmosphere, Incredible Unity, Passionate Heartbeat, and Strategic Leadership. Let us espouse our core values to have Passionate Honor for God, Audacious Fervor to believe for the impossible, Relentless Belief in people, and Contagious Faith to reach the lost. Let us build a Care and Connect culture where people will encounter God and experience transformation!

Trinity would not be what we are today without the lifework of our founders. Our church’s foundations are strong and stable because of their dedication to building a lasting legacy.

Rev and Mrs Glenn D Stafford

Missionaries from the Assemblies of God USA, the Staffords desired to be “a Pentecostal witness in District 11 of Singapore.” They started weekly prayer meetings in their home with just 10 people in September 1969.

In April 1970, the first Sunday Service at 2 Hillcrest Road in Bukit Timah was launched and Trinity Christian Centre was birthed. Within several months, Sunday School, Sunday evening evangelistic service and mid-week prayer meeting were added. Tracts were distributed around the Hillcrest and Watten Estate areas to invite many young adults to the church.

By the time the Staffords took their furlough in July 1971, attendance was at about 50.

16

Rev and Mrs Raymond Busby

The young church was handed over to another set of missionary pastors, Rev and Mrs Raymond Busby, in July 1971.

The Busbys grounded the church in the Word of God and more young people continued to attend Trinity. They would eventually become the core group of members and workers in Trinity

Rev and Mrs Robert E Ferguson

In February 1974, Rev and Mrs Robert Ferguson continued the work in Trinity. Their faithful ministry saw rapid growth and Trinity had to relocate to Hotel Equatorial.

Buses were chartered to bring people to church and the 300-seat ballroom was constantly packed.

Rev Naomi Dowdy

A missionary evangelist at heart, the last thing she wanted to do was to pastor a church. So when God called her to pastor Trinity, she resisted.

In time, she yielded to God and became Trinity’s first Senior Pastor in 1976. Her leadership ushered in a period of spiritual revival. The congregation soon outgrew Hotel Equatorial and relocated to the auditorium of the Regional English Language Centre.

To Win, Nurture and Disciple became Trinity’s mission. Evangelistic productions, equipping classes, carecells, and missions became hallmarks of the church.

Conversations with our Founding Pastors

Moving to Singapore

In 1967, Glenn and I had been assigned to teach in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia at Bible Institute of Malaya where we taught for two years. That's when The Assemblies of God of Singapore invited us to start a church in District 11. Back then, there were no Assemblies of God churches in the area. We felt like it was the Lord’s will for us to go. We moved to Singapore right after the riots of 1969.

As missionaries, we are given a budget for personal living based on the cost of living in the country. For Singapore, it was on the low end. Needless to say, our financial resources were limited and so was our church budget. We had to raise all the money in the US for our projects because we were only allocated so much (by the AG Missions department) to run a church.

Humble beginnings

When we were pastors in Lubbock, Texas, one of our fellow churches gave their church the name “Trinity.” It has such powerful meaning: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! During that time, it was difficult to get permission from the local government to start another church. So we decided on “Trinity Christian Centre” which made room for all the activities which needed to be covered at the time.

One of the first challenges was to find a venue, followed by inviting people to the venue. We canvassed the whole neighborhood. We started with a very small group and progress was slow. But, through the bible club and different people from the neighborhood, we began to grow.

Passing on the baton

We took our home leave in 1971 with every intention of returning to Singapore. However, the US Missions Department sent us to Vietnam. Even though we could not return to this “baby church,” I am so grateful that what began as a small thing, watered through the years, has become a wonderful work for the whole world.

Conversations with our Founding Pastors

Wrestling with God

I was a missionary evangelist with the Assemblies of God USA and had come to Singapore at the invitation of Howard and Rosala Ridings, missionaries to Singapore in the 1960s. So, in 1972, I came for a month to preach in the youth rallies, then returned to the Marshall Islands.

In 1975, the General Council asked me to stop at Singapore to discuss the possibilities of coming back. During lunch with the then-General Superintendent, Rev Andrew Yeo, he shared that a missionary had a visa problem and had been given seven days to leave the country. As soon as he said this, the Spirit of the Lord said, “you are going to take the church.”

I began to argue with God. “Not me! I’m an evangelist, not a pastor. I train pastors, not be a pastor.” Eventually, I came to a point I knew I had to make a choice. I either had to disobey God or go against what I wanted to do. I did not want to pastor. I did not feel it was my anointing. I did not have a positive image of a woman pastor. Ultimately, I agreed to stay for six months. “In the meantime, you can still look for someone,” I told God. They never found a replacement. And in the process, God changed me.

21 TRINITY50 (1970-2020)

A young congregation

The congregation did not know how to worship and we did not have musicians. We had one girl who was taking piano lessons; she had not yet passed Grade 8. She could only play notes from the hymn book — and she didn’t always come. There were no guitarists or drummers. We just had a little upright piano.

There was also a lot of in-fighting and backbiting, but no one mediated to settle these things. No other pastor in town wanted Trinity. It was a church of “42 members with 75 problems”.

We also did not have adults. Forming the bulk of the congregation were youths, first-generation Christians without role models. Adults would come, see all these young people, and not come back again. My prayer was, “God, send us some adults. These young people need to see adult Christians; they need spiritual moms and dads.”

Ben and Bertha were the first adults who came. They brought Buck Chua and Kim and we grew from there. It was always by connections. Those they brought had connections, and the people they brought had connections.

People came, miracles happened. God answered all kinds of prayer.

22
1970S
People came, miracles happened. God answered all kinds of prayer.

A nomadic congregation

We were nomadic, constantly moving and searching for worship locations. We rented many different premises because when a place had a function, we would be kicked out.

But we could not be negative. We had to have the faith to trust Him. We made the displacement positive: “Let’s rent the ballroom at Shangri-La. In two weeks, we are going to have a big meeting at Shangri-La, invite your friends. There’ll be special music. Dress differently!”

God’s workshop

God put me in Trinity, changed my attitude, and worked in me to develop what He wanted – a workshop to develop the TCC Carecell Model.

I’m proud that Trinity started with nothing but today, we are a role model church looked up to around the world. We are still growing. We grow with the times but never compromise the Gospel and the purposes of the Kingdom. So I can identify with the late Lee Kuan Yew in terms of purpose, the transitioning and developing of leaders, mentoring them behind the scenes and putting them out there. I feel our development has been much like the overall development of Singapore. That includes the changing of mindsets.

I’m proud of Trinity, the pastors of Trinity and what Trinity represents to the body of Christ – not only in Singapore but overseas as well.

1977 Small in Numbers, Big in Faith

Trinity’s first Missions Convention

Having a passionate heartbeat is about a desire to fulfill God’s global agenda – to touch the world for Jesus and see His glory displayed throughout the world.

This desire was the driving force behind our first Missions Convention, held at the old Equatorial Hotel in 1977.

Those were the days before we had our own place of worship, but Pastor Dowdy was adamant about having Missions Convention before Vision Rally. “When we give to the nations, God will build our house,” she declared.

Though the congregation was mostly made up of young adults, their stand in Christ was strong. And while our numbers were small, our hearts were big enough to trust that God would provide.

One of the defining visuals at our first Missions Convention was a monkey on a coconut tree. As Trinitarians gave, the monkey climbed a little higher, raising a total of $35,300 – a phenomenal amount in those days.

1977 Empty Enough For a Miracle

Trinity’s first evangelistic missions trip

The first missions trip to Batu Pahat, Malaysia in 1977 was an exciting time for the team. When asked why he went for the trip, Samuel Low simply remarked, “Where there is a need, we will go.”

It was a fruitful time of ministry as Pastor Dowdy led the team in preaching and teaching at a small church. Besides ministering to the people through songs, testimonies and prayers, the objective of the trip was to support and build the faith of believers.

The team went beyond just ministering by connecting with the young congregation at the church they visited, playing basketball and having hearty conversations over meals. On the last evening of the trip, the team formed a combined singing group with members of the church

as they ministered together. Not only were the congregation ministered to, but our missions team also returned feeling greatly enriched and blessed.

Pastor Eu Yat Wan (our first Missions Director) recalled an interesting experience: “On the way back, our fuel tank indicator was at ‘E’ – empty. In those days, the highways in Malaysia did not have petrol stations as they do now. We were so worried we had to push the car all the way back!”

But God saw them through the journey – they arrived at the causeway safely with sufficient fuel. “We were so relieved when we finally crossed the causeway! While ‘E’ can mean ‘empty,’ in our case, ‘E’ stood for ‘Enough’ for God to do a miracle!”

1979 Trinity School of the Bible Launched

(now known as TCA College)

Pastor Dowdy envisioned a place where formal ministerial training would be available to leaders dedicated to serving churches and communities in Asia.

Out of that vision emerged Trinity School of the Bible (TSB) –the first Pentecostal and Charismatic school to offer Bachelor of Theology and Master of Arts programs in Singapore.

Renamed Theological Centre for Asia (TCA) in 1983, it was recognized by the Ministry of Education as a religious school in 1988.

In 2007, Pastor Dominic brought TCA to the next level with another name change to mark its expansion into a multi-disciplinary Christian college.

Today, TCA College trains leaders through its Schools of Counselling, Theology, and Leadership. Its graduates from 40 nations have become professional counsellors, marketplace leaders, pastors, bible college teachers, and denominational heads whom have impacted their workplaces, churches and the nations.

Nomads

Wayfarers

Always on the move, we rented various premises for our services and programs: Hillcrest, Hotel Equatorial, RELC, American School, NTUC Conference Hall, and World Trade Centre to name a few.

When these rented premises had other functions, we scrambled to find other locations for service. Sometimes, these premises would be too small for the congregation. What’s more, Trinitarians had to carry, set up, and bring down musical instruments, audio visual equipment, projectors, tables, and chairs.

It was a tedious process that took place every single week. Despite all these inconveniences, Trinitarians served heartily and the church continued to grow.

With a vision for church growth and a place to call our own, the search for land began!

Our own land at last! Trinitarians rose to the call to give to the building of God’s house. The young congregation gave sacrificially. People gave hard cash, their savings, and even mortgaged their homes.

On March 6, we paid off the first lot of land at 21 Adam Road. It was a victorious day! After years as nomads, God provided us with a place to finally call our own.

Three weeks later on March 31, payment for the second lot of land at 23 Adam Road was made.

A clarion call to purchase the land

For the past 11 years, Trinity was constantly on the move. The more than one acre piece of choice land was freehold and centrally located at 21 and 23 Adam Road. Would this be our Promised Land? Yet, the cost of the land was $2.5 million (a huge amount in those days) and had to be paid in full by March 31.

God diverts the drain Trinity gets approval from the relevant authorities to divert the drain separating 21 and 23 Adam Road – shifting it to the right side of 21 Adam Road so that the two plots of land would not be divided.

Woes aplenty but God made all things possiblele

Bank woes

With no bank wanting to finance churches in those days, securing a loan for the construction of Trinity@Adam was a challenge. When it seemed like all banks had closed its doors on us, God provided a bank to finance us, one that gave us excellent rates too!

Construction woes

Construction works finally began at 21 Adam Road.

The land at the Adam Road site comprised mainly of marine clay, making it difficult to build on. This was exacerbated by the need to maximize space to accommodate more people. Through our dedicated team of consultants, and by God’s grace, we managed to design and build a whole mezzanine level in the Auditorium!

21 Adam Road completed

We finally had our own church building! A dedication service for 21 Adam Road and a series of celebrations were held to commemorate this milestone.

It was a significant year as we celebrated our 25th Anniversary with the dedication of Trinity@Adam on July 30 in our new 1,000-seat auditorium.

When a church gets bigger, it must get smaller

Focused on fellowship and Christian living, homecells were launched as the way to develop and strengthen covenantal relationships between Trinitarians and friends.

I had just accepted the Lord and wanted to know more about Him so I joined the homecell when it was launched. My most memorable moment was when I brought three of my closest friends from work to the homecell. They were touched by our Lord, gave up their worldly lifestyle, and even served our Lord until today.

I attended a homecell because of my then girlfriend (now wife) and I enjoyed the fellowship. Later, I became the leader of Jalan Sedap where I led a group of elderly members door-to-door to distribute tracts for an upcoming rally. What really inspired me was that they did not complain or question. They had the can-do spirit of Caleb!

1982 A Tree-ling Experience

The Singing Christmas Tree

First staged in 1982 (and again in 1983, 1985, 1986, and 1987), the Singing Christmas Tree was Trinity’s signature production and the start of Trinity’s culture of staging large-scale productions.

I was part of the refreshments team for the Singing Christmas Tree at Ngee Ann City in 1987. Perched on the tall tree, the singers were not able to get down, so hot tea and water had to be brought up to them. Kettles in hand, climbing up the structure on the windy cold nights was no easy task. But our time serving was fun and fulfilling.

Our team fitted more than 20,000 light bulbs onto the structure over many, many nights. There was a canvas covering but due to heavy rains in December, it would give way and the rain would hit against the light bulbs or move the strings of lights. We often had to rearrange everything back in position. Sometimes, we would work through the night and go back to our jobs in the daytime. It was a tedious task but we didn’t give up!

God gave us the strength to finish it all. We also owe it to the prayers of the many people behind the scenes. All glory to God!

The 92-person choir was arranged on a 36-foot tall tree. They were accompanied by a 35-piece orchestra composed of brass instruments, strings, woodwinds, percussions, guitars, xylophones, and organs. Besides the 38 in the orchestra, 370 others worked behind the scenes to set up the Singing Christmas Tree at Ngee Ann City.

20,000 light bulbs. 120 singers. 15 meters of trees. 2 weeks of pounding and hammering. But all the effort was worth it! More than 30,000 people came to see the debut of the Singing Christmas Tree at Toa Payoh Athletic Centre.

1990 From Homecells to Carecells

We realized that Homecells focused too much on fellowship and Christian living. That’s when we decided to relaunch into Carecells in 1990.

Carecells took people beyond having a sense of belonging into one of action –Evangelism, Nurture, and Discipleship (END). Through the Carecell model, we released the five-fold ministries to equip God's people to fulfill the ministry of reconciliation.

From Carecells to Connect Groups

With changes in society and culture, we knew it was time to seek the Lord for a new strategy to keep growing.

After eight months of intense strategizing, planning, and preparations, we entered into a new era of community life with the launch of Connect Groups in June 2019.

“I connect with you to disciple you. I disciple you so that you will connect with others.” This is the foundation of Connect Groups – spiritual families inspired by biblical communities in the Book of Acts.

The members have embraced the new Connect Group model. They understand the need for change and are aligned with what the church is doing. I praise the Lord that different ones are stepping up to lead and serve. One inactive Spiritual Parent became active, and we commissioned three Spiritual Parents!

1991 Discipling the Nations

Missions expand to Training and Consultation

When we started small groups, God taught me to go beyond evangelism to disciple and build leaders – leaders with the DNA of the house. Trinity became God’s workshop to create and tool out an ecosystem to disciple and raise leaders, regardless of culture.

Today, Trinity has the privilege to empower ministries with leadership succession plans, equip churches with tools to broaden their effectiveness in ministry, and provide consultation on how to restructure and refocus their ministries.

48

Throughout the 1990s, Pastor Dowdy, Pastor Dominic, and several pastors (including ourselves) travelled to India to conduct training and consultation with the churches there. Because of the positive reception and the potential for greater church growth, Trinity decided to send us as full-time ambassadors in 1999.

The process of local churches using the TCC Cell Church Model did not happen overnight. But many churches persevered and began to see numerical and spiritual growth that they had not previously experienced.

We saw how pastors of successful and effective carecell churches wanted to pass the blessing on. We even had the opportunity to train many of these pastors to be trainers and consultants so they could equip other churches.

Pastors Steven and Margaret Tay

In 2005, Pastor Dowdy saw a need to build up the Chinese-speaking churches, especially in Taiwan. As one of the few bilingual (English/Chinese-speaking) pastors at the time, she shared her intention to send me to Taiwan. Pastor Dominic also continued the expansion of Trinity’s efforts into the nation. He saw the nation as the foundation for reaching out to the Chinese-speaking communities of the world.

Despite my reservations, I went to Taipei with nothing more than my mustard seed sized faith. I didn’t know anyone in that country, but God brought people who could help with translations and introduce us to churches that might be interested in what we had to teach.

As a result of Trinity’s investment and God’s favor, many churches have experienced breakthrough after breakthrough: pastors were discipled, lay leaders were raised, and churches encountered tremendous growth. With the TCC Cell Church Model, congregations once on the brink of death were revived and are now flourishing.

You are going to be known as the church of the breakthrough. Men and women are going to come and receive the anointing to breakthrough and go back to fields of service and begin to minister in a breakthrough anointing because of what happens in this place.

I can see you doing this in many nations. Not just one and two. Not just Asian nations. But I can see you doing this in nation after nation after nation.

God has raised this church up for His church. God is giving you a new strategy, apostolic strategy, apostolic structure, apostolic relationship, and apostolic insight to be able to affect God's purposes.

You have got the apostolic, you have got the prophetic, you know how to equip, you have got warfare praise, you know how to release the anointing, you know how to touch the nation.

1996 Heaven’s Gates & Hell’s Flames

“Eternity, eternity, where will you spend eternity?”

The line reverberated throughout the drama as scenes contrasted the actualities of life with the realities of heaven and hell.

First staged in 1996 (and again in 1997), the production was so powerful that the initial one-week run was extended to four weeks.

I saw in the papers that Heaven’s Gates & Hell’s Flames was going to be extended and asked my friend whether he wanted to go along. Three of us went. The drama spoke very strongly about making a choice. This confrontational message pushed me to make a decision and I answered the altar call.

My uncle invited us to Heaven’s Gates & Hell’s Flames. Interestingly, he was not from Trinity but had heard about the production. When I arrived at Trinity, the car park was full and cars were already double-parked. Amazingly, there was a lot when I turned in. The drama was very impactful and touching. My wife cried and raised her hand to receive Jesus. I went to the altar with her. I came back to Trinity for my first service. The worship was awesome. I was wowed by the preaching. The whole experience was fantastic. So I’ve been here ever since.

1996 Care Community Services Society (CCSS) Birthed

Founded as the social arm of Trinity, CCSS seeks to serve the community and to influence and equip individuals and families for empowered living through all generations.

Expanding our reach into communities

CCSS started with two programs – a meal service at Leng Kee community center and a before-and-after-school care center at Townsvillle Primary School.

Today, it operates as a registered charity affiliated with the National Council of Social Service and an Institution of a Public Character, serving over 1,000 beneficiaries across five programs.

Disadvantaged children have a safe environment to grow through after-school Student Care Centres. Vulnerable seniors have meaningful engagement in Seniors Activity

Centres (SAC). At-risk youth are given opportunities to discover their innate potential through youth programs. Ex-offenders gain access to resources that support their journey of re-integration. And elderly individuals who suffer from (or are at risk of) dementia are given cognitive care.

CCSS was honored to be one of the selected beneficiaries of the President’s Challenge for 2018 and 2020. As a recipient of this community outreach and fund-raising campaign, CCSS beneficiaries can participate in many outings. Staff were also invited to attend pro-bono workshops conducted by corporate partners.

Seeing lives transformed

A 73-year-old beneficiary-turned-volunteer, Steven first began serving in the CareElderly SAC in 2016 – seven years after joining as a member. His involvement includes accompanying staff for home visits and serving lunch to is peers.

“The senior activity center has become my second home. I enjoy every moment I spend here,” says Uncle Steven.

In 2019, Steven was invited by Tan Tock Seng Hospital to talk about the care journey as a CareElderly peer volunteer. “Volunteering has made a difference in Steven’s life,” observes SAC staff Caslin Ong, “His self-esteem has improved and he has found a sense of purpose by serving others.”

60 The Trinity@Lavender Journey
2000

1998

A lighthouse to the community

It was the leadership’s vision to see Lavender become a lighthouse in the community. It is in that spirit that the building was named “CarePoint.”

Due to government regulations, we had to keep the façade of the building, but were allowed to hollow out the internal space and build the existing interior.

2000

Dedication of Trinity@Lavender

Today, Trinity@Lavender serves as the headquarters to Care Community Services Society (our social arm). It is also the incubator for our church plants.

Following Pastor Dominic's call

Knowing how hard it is for churches to find a location to meet, I thank Trinity for letting us start Risen Christian Assembly at Trinity@Lavender. It’s an excellent location for various ministries to take place at the same time. The multi-purpose hall also allows us to fellowship and have various activities for different age groups. Over the past two years, dozens of people have been saved and discipled in this place. All glory to God!

to establish new communities of faith in the Decade of Expansion, four ministers and 80 members embarked on a new adventure with God as part of Trinity's first church plant in 2018.

2002 Extraordinary Camps, Enthusiastic Campers

Our first triennial church camp

Church camp is one of the most anticipated events in the Trinity calendar. Held every three years since the turn of the century, it is a time for Trinitarians to get away, to hear from God and strengthen covenantal relationships with one another.

Since the first one at Marymount Convent School in 1978, Trinity held camps in different parts of Malaysia throughout the 1980s and 1990s. With a fast-growing congregation, we organized our first triennial church camp –at Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel in Malaysia – in 2002.

I had to grow my own leaders and realized I needed a successor. I began to develop men and women who could work in every area of ministry – pastoral skills, leadership skills and preaching skills. Most of all, I was looking for spiritual sons and daughters who had the DNA of the church.

In my heart and spirit, I believed that God had appointed Dominic as the next leader of Trinity. I told him that if the church went down in membership or in finances, then I was the failure, not him. I also asked him who his successor was. I wanted him to begin his tenure aware that he already needed to plan his own successor.

I certainly expect him to take the church further than I have. I expect him to stand on my shoulders and build on the foundations I’ve laid. Of course, he was part of the team that helped me build that foundation. But I pray that he will have greater and faster success.

64

2005 Change of Command

After almost three decades of leadership under Pastor Dowdy, we celebrated a new season of leadership when Pastor Dominic was appointed as the new Lead Pastor on March 10, 2005.

Conversation with our Lead Pastor

From yo-yo to Pastor Yeo

After I was saved in 1980, my first words to God were, “Here am I, Lord, send me.” I did not receive a special call from God. I simply had a desire to serve Him. My initial years with the Lord were really like a yo-yo, since my surname is “Yeo” (laughs). I would backslide, disappear from church, then return and receive Christ again.

Eventually, the prayers and perseverance of my spiritual parents paid off. They really believed in me. Then, I started serving. Whatever I could put my hands on, I would do.

Then came the step to go into full-time ministry. It was not an easy one for me because I had been an air-traffic controller with the Republic of Singapore Air Force since 1981. But I took a step of faith and resigned in March 1985.

That June, I answered God’s full-time call and hit the ground running. A month-long crusade in Indonesia. Pioneering churches abroad. Overseeing our children, youth, and campus ministries. Overseeing our missions endeavors. Developing our carecell and leadership training materials. I don’t think I was a smart cookie. I simply desired to serve God.

65

Stepping up in faith and boldness

When I took on the role of Lead Pastor from Pastor Dowdy, I had huge shoes to fill. I was intimidated by her legacy and I remember telling her so. Pastor Dowdy said, “Dom, you are not taking my shoes. You will wear your own pair of shoes. You will be standing on my shoulders as you step into your place as Lead Pastor and you are going to take Trinity to another level.”

That was a powerful lesson. She didn't want me to be another Naomi Dowdy, leading Trinity the way she did. She knew God had something more in store for me and for Trinity, and released me to be the person God meant for me to be.

Growing with Trinity

Trinity has grown from strength to strength. When I took on the role of Lead Pastor, my prayer wasn't for a big church but a strong church: strong in hosting the presence of God, strong in convictions, and strong in leadership. I have seen these qualities grow year after year.

There is a tangible and powerful presence of God in our worship services and prayer meetings. We are people led by strong conviction to do what God is leading us to do - moving towards our vision, living out our core values, building a Care & Connect culture. We also have developed a global reputation as a church strong in leadership and discipling.

66

Receiving Trinity’s vision (VIPS)

In 2001, Pastor Dowdy asked Pastor Eu Yat Wan and me (we were serving in the Apostolic Team then) to seek God for the vision of the church. One day as I was driving home, I received a vision from God. I don’t know how I managed to drive without running a red light or getting into an accident, but I guess He took care of that!

The vision lasted several minutes. In it, I saw … people encountering God in a Vibrant Atmosphere … individuals, families and ministries flowing in Incredible Unity … people consumed with a Passionate Heartbeat to touch the world … Trinitarians rising up as Strategic leaders wherever God place them

I was awed by the whole experience and when I shared this with the Apostolic Team, they affirmed these as God’s vision for our church.

67

Downloading Trinity’s core values (PARC)

When I shared VIPS at a Section Leaders’ Summit at the end of 2002, one of the Section Leaders asked an intriguing question: How are we going to fulfill our vision? It was a question I could not answer and I mulled over this for many days.

Then I had my “Frankfurt Airport experience”. While on a seven-hour stopover, God suddenly pressed the download button. It was happening so fast that I had to ask Him to slow down!

I rushed to buy a notepad to scribble down what He was showing me.

God was calling us to build His church – a people with Kingdom values. He wanted us to build in every Trinitarian the core values of

… Passionate Honor like David

… Audacious Fervor like Elijah Relentless Belief like Barnabas, and Contagious Faith like Andrew

Since we started to create a Trinitarian Experiencewhere people encounter God and embrace our core values, God ushered in new levels of growth in Trinity.

68

Trinity50 and beyond

In the next 50 years and beyond, God will continue to reposition Trinity in the global arena; we will see the launching of campuses and affiliations with other churches.

Therefore, we ought to make each day count and step forward in courageous faith to act. We have to commit to being good stewards of our resources, choose to be actively involved in the various ministries of the church, and continually commit to the direction communicated by leadership.

-nitarians! The Trinity@Paya Lebar Journey

2006 Life Conference Launched

The Bible tells us in John 10:10 “I have come that they may have life [zoe], and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Life Conference is all about celebrating the life we have in Christ. Apart from our triennial church camp, this conference is for Trinitarians (young and old) to live the zoe life that God gives us.

Life Conference in the time of COVID-19

While Circuit Breaker meant that we couldn’t gather in church, it didn’t stop us from living the abundant life.

Featuring powerful messages by three guest speakers, testimonies from Trinitarians impacted by COVID-19, and practical life tips from our pastors, Broadcast Life Conference served to encourage and empower us through these challenging times.

Broadcast Life Conference has never been done before and we only had 18 days to put it together. Yet, we gladly accepted the challenge. Praise God for the 3,212 registrants from 11 nations. Indeed, God is over all!

God-inspired figure wins tender

An opportunity came to acquire Shell Sports Club along Paya Lebar Road – 3.71 acres of freehold land. After much prayer and deliberation, we submitted our bid at $19.1 million. We won the tender! Our bid was a whisker higher than the second highest out of six bids received.

“Surely the God that you serve gave you this figure of S$19.1 million to win this bid,” the Property Manager of Shell told us.

Finances were tight. Trinity only had a few million left in the bank – just enough to pay for the initial down payment. However, we needed to pay for the balance payable within the next few months. What’s more, the construction loan for Trinity@Lavender had not been paid in full.

2001

But God provided. Not long after we took over the premises at Paya Lebar, we paid off the building costs for Lavender. Through the faithful giving of the congregation, we also raised enough to complete the purchase of the land at Paya Lebar.

Audacious requests

As the land was zoned under Sports and Recreation, we applied for its change of use to Church, Civic and Community, and Education zones. We also requested for the plot ratio to be changed from 0.8 to 1.4. Several submissions were presented and dialogues were held with the authorities. Trinitarians were rallied to pray with audacious fervor

74 1999

The incredible favor of God

The change of zoning is approved! We were granted three separate plots: Institution (Civic and Community), Institution (Education), and Place of Worship. What a miracle!

2003

Land maximized

Our request for a higher plot ratio of 1.4, is also approved, paving the way for us to maximize use of the land.

2004

Mission possible!

The development charges for re-zoning were initially estimated to be $4.5 million. By God’s grace, there was no charge payable!

Every time when the Board reviewed Trinity’s bank balances, it seemed impossible that we could ever pay off the bank loan for the land at Trinity@Paya Lebar. But God never failed to provide.

It was not long before we paid off the land loan. Our bankers were very surprised because we had taken out a 10-year loan, but had paid it off in four years. It was truly God’s provision.

To strengthen the identity of Trinity, our building names were changed to Trinity@Adam, Trinity@Lavender, and Trinity@Paya Lebar.

2007 Care & Connect Culture Introduced

Care and Connect is God’s idea. God pioneered the movement by reaching out to mankind. Jesus cared and connected to usher in the Kingdom of God. The disciples cared and connected to further the ministry of Christ. Today, the baton is in our hands to continue the movement.

Let’s take on God’s heartbeat and believe in people, not looking at their appearance or their past.

Let’s care and connect so that they can find a place of belonging; a place where they can be rooted and equipped with the Word of God; a place where they develop covenantal relationships and fulfill their God-given destiny.

TCC doesn’t just stand for Trinity Christian Centre. It also stands for Trinitarians Care and Connect! When Trinitarians care and connect, we become Totally Committed Christians!”

Lead Pastor Dominic Yeo, Watchnight 2006

In 2009, Trinity launched initiatives to Care and Connect with those affected by the 2008 economic crisis.

A total of $100,000 from the LIFE Fund was given to the South East Community Development Council (CDC). Of this, $30,000 was allocated for the CDC’s Upsized Breakfast Programme which supports 2,053 needy students in 13 primary schools. Our youths also organized a charity concert, Trinity’s first, and raised $222,475 for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.

From our Bible Club days in the 1970s, we have placed a premium on reaching and discipling the little ones.

The new “edutainment” approach (education + entertainment) launched in 2009 sought to impart biblical truths by engaging our children through multimedia, drama, and games.

Young but mighty DiscoveryLand works tirelessly to create multiple platforms for discipleship – equipping our youngest Trinitarians to be servant leaders and change makers for their generation.

Truly, their potential for Kingdom impact is unlimited. Whether it’s inviting friends, sharing the Gospel, leading small groups, or sharing testimonies during service, our children are leading the way for their generation to encounter Jesus!

2012 TENet Becomes LEAD

As a leadership church, we believe in equipping every person for ministry. It is in the spirit that Trinity School of the Bible and Ministry (TSBM) was launched in 1983 as Trinity’s church education platform, and matured to TENet (Trinity Empowering Network) in 1995.

In 2012, church education underwent a major revamp to accelerate the development of leaders. Through the Christ-centered leadership model of person, perspective, and practice, LEAD’s (Leaders’ Empowerment and Discipleship) learner-centered philosophy helps every believer discover their God-given potential and be deployed as strategic leaders in their sphere of influence.

LEAD becomes Trinity Academy

The development of leaders continues with LEAD’s maturation to Trinity Academy in 2019, expanding into a fuller learning experience with online and on-site courses.

In the next 10 years, God will continue to reposition Trinity in the global arena. We will see the launching of campuses and affiliations with other churches.

In the next 10 years, we will see our young people arise to take their places as warriors in God’s Army, marching forward in loving Jesus and making their lives count for His glory.

The Decade of Expansion Starts

Our church also will take part in one of the greatest mobilizations of those 50 and above. Our Silver Force will enter into ministry and experience their destiny and calling fulfilled in the later seasons of their lives.

As God repositions the church, Trinity will be undergoing structural changes so that more resources can be released to touch Singapore and the world.

Lead Pastor Dominic Yeo Interview in 2015 on his 10th Anniversary of leading Trinity Christian Centre

And as we walked in God’s prophetic word for each season, I see how He has prepared us for the Decade of Expansion, building faith upon faith, line upon line, and foundation upon foundation.

These endeavors were not the work of man, nor are they man’s striving for success. Instead, the fruition of God’s prophetic word is the very life of our destiny.

Dear Pastor Dominic and Trinity Christian Centre, Words cannot express our gratitude for your service for the World Assemblies of God Congress. Your quality in planning, preparation, and implementation of the event was outstanding.

From the energetic youth and dynamic worship to the powerful passing the baton service, workshops, and anointed preaching, it was all a memorable experience that the Generations attendees will never forget.

For Christ and His Kingdom, George O Wood, Chairman World Assemblies of God Fellowship

Dear Pastor Dominic,

I am sure you have heard it over and over again – WAGC 2017 was in a class of its own. Kudos and congratulations to the Singapore Assemblies of God Fellowship.

You gave us every reason to feel a sense of “godly pride” as fellow Asians. I have no doubt people will remember the event for a long time to come.

Congratulations, too, on your two new roles as Secretary of the WAGF and Chairman of the Commission on Sexual Exploitation, Slavery, and Trafficking.

I have no doubt that you will bring the same degree of dedication, visionary leadership, and passion to these roles as you have to every other mantle God places upon your shoulders.

With every blessing in Christ, Rev Dr Ivan Satyavrata Senior Pastor and Chairman The Assembly of God Church & Mission

Dear Pastor Dominic,

I just want to thank you so much for hosting us in Singapore. The Congress was amazing and your hospitality made us feel right at home.

I also want to thank you for allowing our media team the flexibility to shoot and film. It truly was a huge help to our trip and our church.

When Dr Lee Younghoon was at your church, he mentioned several times how impressed he was with your media/production department.

The atmosphere, the presence, and the effect that it has on the worshiper are the reasons that led Dr Lee to see if we can replicate what you have at Trinity Christian Centre.

We truly are impressed at what Trinity does and would love to bring some of that into Yoido.

Thank you and God Bless, Yoon Lee Yoido Full Gospel Church

Through our language ministries, individuals and families have the opportunity to be part of a community that offers support and encouragement. Most of all, they have the chance to hear the Gospel and strengthen their relationship with God in their native tongue.

The church feels like a family. The people are warm and welcoming! I like serving in the Chinese Ministry as a Celebration Host.

We are able to see how much God really loves all His children in the Indonesian Ministry. Many grow spiritually and become salt and light to their own community, be it in a palace or in a hut. Thank God for His real work in changing lives!

When I was transferred to Singapore in September 2018, I was anxious because I didn’t know what to expect. But God sent me help through the Japanese Ministry. They helped me to settle in. When I faced difficulties, they were there to encourage me with God’s Word.

And the Lord says, “I am going to bring a great revival of My Spirit to the youth of this church. And they are going to affect the schools of the land. For there will be a day when I am going to sweep by My Spirit through the Secondary Schools of this land. And I am going to bring thousands and thousands and thousands into My Kingdom.”
Prophecy by Rev Cindy Jacobs June 24, 2001

His Purpose. My Generation. These four words capture the heart of Trinity’s youth ministry.

Since starting a youth worship service in 1988, Trinity has never stopped in its pursuit of connecting, empowering, and releasing the next generation into their God-given destiny.

Though the methods have changed, the message has not. Through a combination of physical meet-ups and digital platforms, IGNYTE blazes the trail for our youth to live out the prophetic and transform their families, schools, and communities.

I believe God is raising up a generation that is going to live at the altar of God. There they will intercede, and supplicate, and wait and tarry and linger in the presence of God until they are empowered with an anointing from an omnipotent God, and go out and change the world.
Prophecy by Apostle Les Bowling 2009

The week after #ignyteamovement had been announced, I had a hard time stepping up to invite believers to come together to intercede for the school and nation. But after a few tries and a few sessions, we have grown so much in numbers and in the Spirit!

Whether it is living out the prophetic, igniting a movement, or reaching my generation, I want to always step into it and live it out by faith because I'm doing it all for glory of Jesus.

Liew, 14

Since starting a prayer group in my secondary school, God has been moving amazingly and not stop working even when we moved online. Several oikos even showed interest in our prayer group.

As we continue to press on in gathering as a community and seeking Him for our school and our generation, God will continue to reveal His heart to us and more will be impacted for His glory!

Lim Hwei Shuean, 16

When I heard the prophetic word for IGNYTE, something stirred within my spirit to believe God. Even though Circuit Breaker prevented us from meeting in person, a group of us from different churches and schools started gathering online to pray for revival.

What started as a small group of friends grew to 70 different intercessors. We even held a 24-hour prayer meeting in July. I could not have imagined how simple obedience could lead to such a movement!

Regardless of the challenges, such as COVID-19, the resilience and tenacity we carry today to forge forward will be tomorrow’s testimony of victory, inspiring the generations to come.

Finding needs, meeting needs

Our call to find needs and meet needs remains as strong as ever. With COVID-19 sending Singapore’s economy into decline, we revived our three-pronged approach in November 2020 to help those impacted by this global pandemic.

1. LIFE Fund – Providing financial assistance to retrenched loved ones

2. Jobs Connection – Connecting Trinitarian business owners and human resource professionals with those who need jobs

3. InfoTalks – Engaging Trinitarian professionals to equip others with seminars on career and financial management

50 Guest Speakers August-November

Capturing God’s prophetic word

To live out the prophetic, it starts by capturing God’s prophetic word.

For four months, Trinitarians tuned in to Facebook Live, YouTube, and Trinity Broadcast to hear God’s prophetic word from our 50 Guest Speakers. With a different speaker for every service, we dug deep into God’s Word and claimed His promises for us.

Having 50 guest speakers is very refreshing and a reminder of Trinity’s international impact. Even in the midst of the pandemic, we are still staying connected with God’s global family. Each speaker brings a different and timely message that reminds us to keep moving forward in the Decade of Expansion.

Decade of Expansion

Expanding Into the Digital Realm

As the nation went into the Circuit Breaker in a bid to stem the COVID-19 pandemic on April 7, 2020, our church doors were closed for the first time in Trinity’s 50-year history.

COVID-19 may have brought about a disruption but living out the prophetic doesn’t exclude the circumstances of life. Trinity continued to forge forward and expanded into the digital space.

Pastors suddenly became experts in various social media platforms and streaming technologies. Their homes began filling up with various equipment – tripods, lightings and microphones – to continue ministering when physical services weren’t permitted

I’m not a Trinitarian, but a friend of mine who attends Trinity told me to watch the service online and join the Zoom Prayer room – and so I did.

My elderly mum had breast cancer three years ago and a new lump showed up recently. The elder prayed for my mum’s healing and on the day before we were scheduled to see the doctor – the doctor called to say the lump was gone and we need not go for the appointment!

Church Online

Trinitarians gathered online over Facebook and YouTube and made their homes their place of encountering God.

God led us to launch online Pre-service prayer, Zoom Altar Call rooms and Guest Reception. Many who engaged in these times of prayer testified of answered prayers and healings.

DiscoveryLand services went online! Children continued to care for and connect their friends to God as we launched Connect Groups for the children. Even the littlest were not forgotten as we launched Nursery services online!

Our youths continued to be empowered as IGNYTE services went online. Passionate to reach their generation for Jesus, they held their first fully online evangelistic production –This is Life.

Our Campus ministry pressed on and held their first online camp.

Our Language Ministries were also relentless in not stopping church! They came together online and held their own outreach events online with salvations taking place beyond physical borders!

I am going to open a door to communication that is shut. And that includes television and radio.

And the Lord says, I want you to think higher because I want to give you satellite communications.

I had severe sharp pain in my left knee due to a previous injury in 2016. I went into the Zoom Prayer room. When I came out of the Prayer room, as I was walking back to living room, I realized there was no pain. I tested it - bending and walking around the house. There was no pain at all. Praise God for His healing!

Broadcast Life Conference

We couldn’t gather for Church Camp this year, so we gathered online instead for Trinity’s first Broadcast Life Conference which marked the launch of Trinity Broadcast TV!

Trinity Broadcast TV became a blessing to the nations as we hosted events for Asia Pacific Assemblies of God Churches. Thirty nations in the Asia Pacific region gathered virtually for the first time to pray for three hours on September 30 at the Concert of Prayer 2020.

We also hosted Asia Pacific Assembles of God Fellowship’s inaugural online conference – Overcoming Your Giants –in October 2020. More than 40 nations tuned in, extending the reach of this conference beyond the Asia Pacific region. With more than 30,000 views over four days, we reached more than we would have not by our individual efforts.

Vision Faith Promise

Even though we were still “home-bound”, Trinitarians pressed on in faith to give toward building God’s house through our first ever online Vision Faith Promise over Zoom. We committed more than S$8 million in Faith Promises to see the completion of Trinity@Adam and Trinity@Choa Chu Kang when church doors reopen!

Pressing Onward in a New Norm

After months of staying at home for online services, we must now plan ahead, set an alarm at 7.59pm five days before the service we want to attend, to try and book seats for all our family members.

With the maximum number of people in one service capped at 250 people, not all 8,000 Trinitarians got a chance to be back on the first weekend. But those who managed to, walked into an atmosphere of warmth and welcome.

Traffic Marshals and Celebration Hosts greeted Trinitarians who entered the house of the Lord.

After months of worshipping God in our own homes, the atmosphere of being in God’s presence was hugely different from worshipping at home. Being united in corporate worship is such a wonderful experience!

How inspiring it was to see various groups and fellow worshippers arriving on time with an expectant heart, ready to respond to God.

Even though we weren’t able to cross zones, mingle and catch up with one another in church, the joy of seeing familiar faces, and smiling at one another beneath our surgical masks – this was Incredible Unity at work!

Even though we couldn’t sing aloud, our hearts sung louder as we lifted our hands in worship and declared our praises to our faithful God and a thick presence of the Lord descended upon His people – this is Vibrant Atmosphere.

I was so excited to be back in the house of the Lord. We arrived early and took our seats. The moment the music started, I teared non-stopped. I really missed being in church so much. I’m so grateful that we can be back in church – with the worship atmosphere surrounding us, being in the community of believers worshiping.

I was so overwhelmed. That desperate longing to be back was met that day. I couldn’t help but teared and teared, wetting my cloth mask thoroughly.

Starting with Trinity@Bukit Batok in 2017, God opened the doors for us to establish regional centers across Asia in quick succession.

Congratulations from Around the World

Trinity grew from a congregation of about 10 people in 1970 to more than 10,000 today, serving both local and overseas communities.

Your social services, Community Services Society Singapore, provides services to support and empower our young and elderly as well as in-risk and at-risk groups in our society. The church also has 50 overseas missions to serve the destitute and needy.

Many Trinitarians helped to care for those around during this crisis. Some of you volunteered to distribute daily necessities to migrant workers. Others reached out to the elderly to

look after their well-being. These acts of kindness for the vulnerable members of our community go a long way to enable everyone to go forward with confidence and fortitude.

I'm heartened to hear that the church has donated S$500,000 to five community organizations. Trinitarians have exemplified the spirit of Singapore Together, working with people of different faiths and walks of life to overcome this crisis to build a better Singapore.

I’m confident that Trinity will continue to be an anchor in our community and continue to contribute to nation-building for the next 50 years and beyond.

Heng Swee Keat Deputy Prime Minister Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Minister for Finance Singapore

I greet you in the name of Jesus for this auspicious occasion. It brings back many memories when we first began that after 50 years, the Lord is still blessing the church abundantly.

I am so grateful that what began as a small thing, watered through the years, has become a wonderful work for the whole world. I want to say continue in the Lord and walk with Him all the way. He will lead you exactly where He wants the church to go.

We are so grateful to see what God has done through the years, through all the different pastors, and more recently, through Pastor Dominic.

We congratulate you on these many years and all the things you have accomplished, both in Singapore and around the world. God bless all of you.

God's great works often start very humbly and small. Jesus compared the growth of His Kingdom to a mustard seed. I echo for you the prayer Paul prayed for the Ephesians. As I was prayerfully penning down this note, these lyrics came to my thought: “All over the world the Spirit is moving. All over the world, as the prophet said it would be. All over the world, there's a mighty revelation of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”

In 1970, the Spirit of God moved 10 praying Christians to start Trinity. God, through many prophecies and revelations, has brought about exponential growth in Trinity and has raised many ministers from among you.

50 years of history, 50 years of miracles and changed lives. We are happy to be able to congratulate you on this day. You are a wonderful church that looks beyond your own country because of your heart for the nations. Thank you for believing in the next generations. Thank you for being an example and a light in the darkness.

Pastor Hector Escobar Director Next Generation Europe

Senior Pastor Centro Cristiano El Sembrador Spain

This is a church that is very, very open and very, very passionate about God's presence and very hungry for God's Word. The leaders and members of this church have inspired countless others around the world. Your spirit of excellence is well-known and has challenged many of us to give our very best.

Your audacious faith has also brought breakthrough to the many that have come to the church and attended your conferences through the years.

It is my prayer that this 50th Anniversary will bring an exceptional freshness and bring new level of strength and excitement in the hearts to do great exploits for God.

Rev Ong Sek Leang General Superintendent, Assemblies of God of Malaysia

Senior Pastor Metro Tabernacle Malaysia

We have been so blessed by your pastors who have availed of themselves and their spiritual giftings to strengthen the work of God here. What has been an eye-opener for me is how much you have allowed God's work in you to translate into a blessing to the larger body of Christ. Every house of God is called to the work of discipling the nations, but not every house can boast that their existence is also a blessing to the many houses of God. Thank you for setting for us an example in Christ.

Rev Terence Ong

Senior Pastor Centre of New Life Singapore

I congratulate Trinity on your church's great influence on Singapore, Asia, and the world. I'm sure that God will use you to continue spreading the Gospel and influence many in the world.

Rev Ham Dong Geun International General Superintendent Assemblies of God of Korea Gwanghwamun Korea

Trinity's evangelistic zeal and missions unto the nation is an inspiration to so many. I count it a joy to be considered a friend of Trinity and a privilege to co-labor with you all in the Kingdom of God. Congrats on 50 years of unforgettable moments.

Rev Joyce Kitano Director Chi Alpha Japan Campus Ministries Japan

Congratulations on 50 faithful years of impacting the lives of thousands of people in Singapore and beyond!

God has raised and positioned Trinity to be a forerunner of His Kingdom today. It is such an encouragement to see members rallying around the church, contributing their resources, time, and effort in discipleship and Kingdom building through the years.

You have seen His hand since inception and His goodness has led you thus far. We look expectantly to greater things ahead, trusting that God will continue to position Trinity to make a greater impact.

50 years is a biblical number. And once on the 50th day, there was an outpouring of the Spirit onto the apostles. And after those 50 days, they went and they just changed the whole world.

I want to release a word to you. After 50 years, God will give you more anointing and more resources to influence the whole world and to bring a lot of people to Jesus.

Rev Ivan Borichevskiy Head of Administration, Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith Senior Pastor The New Testament Church Russia

How marvelous it is to recount what our Lord has done for Trinity in half a century of history. It is certainly amazing to witness the spiritual impact Trinity has been making – not only locally, but also regionally, as well as globally, with its prophetic vision and effective strategies to actualize the vision.

May the Lord continue to bless your multiple ministries, and the Pentecostal leadership in Singapore, and the nation of the world.

Dr Koichi Kitano President Central Bible College Japan

God has used Trinity in a mighty way to spearhead the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and restore the Pentecostal gifts in our nation. I am believing and declaring that you will experience new beginnings. The best is yet to come.

As you move towards the next 50 years, may you continue to raise many more effective ministers and leaders as well as dedicated disciples for the Lord!

Rev Robert Lum Senior Pastor Eternal Life Assembly Singapore

Trinity has been a symbol of apostolic prophetic mission and lit the torch of the Gospel in the Asia.

I pray that God will continue to bless you richly as you enter the new era of Jubilee in which “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” (Luke 4:18-19).

I believe that the church will continue her prophetic and discipleship role in the midst of this complex situation of our time.

Rev Dr Emily Tan Senior Mentor Sembawang Assembly of God Singapore

Congratulations on your Golden Anniversary!

Thank you, Pastor Dominic for sending me to lead your first church plant.

Thank you, Trinity for releasing 80 members who felt called by the Lord to join me in this endeavor. Not forgetting your thoughtfulness in letting us occupy your property, your generous support with finances, material, and training resources for our head start.

Indeed, God has brought you thus far. May He continue to show you the exciting path to your next milestone as you fulfill His works!

That faith translates into fortitude — having courage in adversity, and through that courage, the church can relentlessly pursue God and His purposes. I pray that Trinity will continue to hold fast in faith, fortitude, and fervor.

Rev Patrick Cheong Vice-President, World Assemblies of God

As the first mega-church in Singapore, Trinity continues to excel in both growing the church locally and contributing to world evangelization. The church has become a great testimony of what God can do through a local congregation under anointed leaders.

In the Bible, we find that the 50th year was the year of jubilee – the year where debts were canceled and slaves would recieve their freedom. I want to declare today that this is the year of blessing, of freedom, of debts being canceled. It is a year of seeing the provision and the blessing of God upon your life.

Thank you for being a missionary church. Thank you for being a church that always is sowing, a church that is always faithful, a church that perseveres in the midst of trouble and chaos. You are an example to the world.
