Telling stories, experiencing tradition, developing creative ideas, those are the virtues that have thrilled guests of the Trattlerhof for 133 years. The Forstnig family, which is now running the renowned 4-star hotel in its fifth generation, understands the long history of the building and the endearing originality of their home as a special mission. It is important to them to uphold the traditions of the Trattlerhof and to ensure its continued existence for their children’s children.

Secret tips from the Experience Concierges Thanks to its cosy size, which permits attentive and personal service, the hosts act as “experience concierges”, who are happy to provide guests with tips and suggestions, thus allowing them to become immersed in the traditions and lifestyle of the hotel and the region.

Sustainability as a success concept Trattlerhof is the first Austrian hotel to issue its guests with individual CO2 cer-

tificates, which show them how many greenhouse gases they saved by spending their holiday in the Trattlerhof. This is made possible by the hotel’s own hydroelectric power plant and ecological management to protect natural resources. Guests can also get involved in this initiative and are rewarded for their commitment with a credit of three “environment Euros” per night.

Child-friendly into the future

Forstnig family – Hosts with tradition and passion

As a family-run company, the people at Trattler’s want to address the needs of families even more in future.

HolidayCheck Award 2016

Thus, in the summer of 2017 a new Kinderland will open, directly beside the hotel, with childcare. This rounds off the attractive family programme, with offers from our own riding stables, the pony farm and the Bad Kleinkirchheim family adventure programme.

As one of 10 Carinthian hotels, the Trattlerhof is a proud prize winner of the HolidayCheck Awards, one of the most important awards in terms of guest satisfaction. With a further-recommended rate of 99% we can look to the future

with great confidence – looking forward to best holiday experience with Alpine charm.

Introducing Trattlers Kinderland The „Family EURO“ in winter and the family adventure programme in summer are now rounded off by the new Kinderland, directly beside the hotel, which will delight both children and parents. Trattlers Kinderland at the Christl Keusche is a logical extension for our best holiday experiences, with Alpine charm for three generations. While parents or grandparents relax on the Trattlerhof terrace or take a stroll in nature, the kids can take part in all sorts of activities – with or without supervision. The Kinderland will have a play area for infants, but also a climbing tower with ball pool, a craftwork corner and a pit… and for the larger

kids there will be a foosball table, a PlayStation and a TV. The children’s library rounds off the offer. But that’s not all! Outside there will be a slide with a sandbox, and two swings with two see-saws and a treehouse. The stream rushes past and the kids can go wild – in the midst of nature. Childcare is available in summer and winter – maximum comfort for big and small!

Milestones for the ”Trattlers Hofpeople“ and how to become part of the crowd- and hof-history of the estate …

We have a lot planned for the next few months and we always strive to offer new and authentic experiences with Alpine charm. By now we have managed to create the basis for some important projects at the Trattlerhof and the Einkehr, so that we remain attractive to guests in the medium term.

Experiences for our children’s children Thus in the spring of 2017, the Trattlerhof will be enhanced by a generously-sized Kinderland. Covering an area

of ca. 400 m², a playhouse will be built, as well as a playground and an adventure treehouse. In the spring of 2017, a bread-baking and fish-smoking oven will also be built at the Einkehr, which will also include an outdoor BBQ station, so that the fish from our own pond can be smoked and bread can be baked. All of the windows and balcony doors in the main building will be restored before summer 2017 – to improve comfort and sound insulation. A large conversion and annex is planned for spring 2018, which will now finally be realised: the extension of the wellness area with two panorama saunas, an outdoor pool with a sunbathing area, stone showers and a pine relaxation room with a view. Above the wellness area there will be 10 new family and wellness suites, which will provide a whole new living atmosphere. The “lens” will capture the attention: a semi-circular wooden frame construction in the form of a lens with an oval multifunction room, and at the top will feature a fitness room with a view. This will also be accompanied by other

quality improvements in the whole building – which of course will be done with care, in order to preserve the cosy atmosphere and Alpine charm of the Trattlerhof. Those Trattlerhof guests who want to become part of the innovation initiative will be offered an attractive participation model, with which they can benefit from many advantages and discounts for their holiday at the Trattlerhof. This crowd initiative is being conducted by the Trattlerhof in cooperation with the company Finnest GmbH, who are specialists in this area.

Tip!

Spring 2017: • Kinderland children’s playground 400 m² • 3 Tesla charging stations • outdoor BBQ station with fish smoking and bread oven • mountain bike service station • renewal of windows and balcony doors in the main building

Spring 2018: • Additional building with ca. 500 m² wellness area, 2 saunas, relaxation area and outdoor pool, 10 suites, multifunction room and fitness room

We would be delighted if you would become part of our HofCrowd and Hof-History and if we could acquire you as a partner. More at www.trattlerhof.at/en/trattlers-crowdinvesting

The riding school now also offers horse-jumping lessons

On the back of horses and ponies through the Nockberge There is a long tradition of riding at the Trattlerhof. This is also reflected in the Trattlerhof logo and on the emblems in numerous rooms. The Trattlerhof Riding School was first mentioned in 1967. Where once, 50 years ago, the stables were still directly in the hotel, the riding stable was newly built three years ago, right at the paddock, 100 metres away from the hotel. Since then the 8 trai-

And it’s a thorough pleasure to chill with music and BBQ on the sunny terrace of the Einkehr.

There is also an attractive programme in winter, to thrill skiers after a glorious day of skiing on the slopes of Bad Kleinkirchheim. Directly at the slope beside the Maibrunn Valley Station, après-ski fans can let the day draw to a close in a lounge atmosphere. The après-ski is supplemented by live music each Thursday. We can do all of that for you on the terrace of the Einkehr from summer 2017. A new outdoor kitchen will make our fish, meat and BBQ specialities even more attractive and unique. Fish from the Einkehr pond are placed directly into the fish smoking oven and can be smoked at the Einkehr. Our fish breeder recommends: brown trout tastes best of all when it is freshly smoked and still lukewarm – a unique taste experience! The expanded BBQ station will make the meat specialities even more tender and tasty – and of course, the meat comes from the
