For SmartLab, Fun Is a Science
ith new science and construction kits from SMARTLAB TOYS, kids can make soap, grow plants, and even write secret messages in invisible ink. An extension of the Spa Lab line, All-Natural Spa Soaps lets kids create soaps using a microwave oven, the packaged molds, white or clear glycerin soap base, and three different pigments. Each set includes pre-printed boxes for gift-giving. Kids can grow a sunflower and a bean with the Get Growing! Greenhouse, which includes a drip-drop system for watering the plants, as well as a Seed Growth Chart for measuring the growth of each plant. olor ’n Eggs, from BEGINAGAIN, is a new game that combines the fun of puzzles and matching with teaching colors in both English and Spanish. Each of the six brightly colored chickens is designed to fit only in its matching egg, developing both primary color learning and cognitive skills. Little ones can learn animal names and sounds with the Sounds Around the Farm Playset. Each of the eight animals is labeled with its name on one side and the sound the animal makes on the other side. The two-sided, paperboard barn stands up inside the Color ’n Eggs wooden storage tray for barn and animal play. Each character teaches reading, animal recognition, and sounds while encouraging imaginative play. The Color the Sea Playset features eight sea creatures labeled with its name on one side and its color on the other. Each character teaches reading and sea creature and color recognition, while encouraging imaginative play with the paperboard cave that stands up inside the wooden storage tray. The What I Like… Safari Playset features animals labeled with their name on one side and what the animal likes to do on the other side. Kids can arrange the animals in pairs to create a rhyming, safari-themed poem.
