The Haywire Group Puts It All Together

rankenWords, from The Haywire Group, is a fast-paced compound word game that will have players racing to identify compound words faster than their opponents. For example, if a player sees the card “match” and the card “box,” he or she must grab them quick to make “matchbox” before his or her opponent grabs the cards needed to make the compound word “sandbox.” Each card features a word and an image to help early readers play the game. In Taco Takeover, players go head-to-head to see who can correctly fill their taco orders first. If a player draws a “la cucaracha” card, or if he or she is served an “antacid” by an opponent, that player is out of the game for a round. Beardos challenges older game players to name famous beards. One player wears the beard card, which features the beard silhouette of a famous person, and he or she gives the other players clues one at a time until someone names the beard.
