A

ni-gram-it Board Game, from na2ure, encourages kids to build animals using their body parts. The game features color-coded, double-sided tiles with high-resolution photographs of an animal’s body part on one side and a word naming that body part on the reverse side. Players can build new animals on each turn or expand on ones that have been played.

Galt Toys Sets Sail

I

n Pirate Pursuit Game, from Galt Toys, players must fill their loot bags with coins from the treasure chest before the pirates catch up to their galleon. Kids ages 3 to 7 can play with two to four players as they wind up the pirate galleon and set sail around Treasure Island.

Scholastic Experiments with Clifford the Big Red Dog

cholastic Media and Young Scientists Club have new science kits based on Clifford the Big Red Dog, including Clifford Water Science, in which Emily Elizabeth explains simple water experiments having to do with icebergs, phases of water, making rain, colored celery, chromatography, and more. The set equipment includes a lab tray, a measuring cup, and test tubes. With Clifford the Big Red Dog: Science Kits for Little Hands, intended for ages 3 and up, kids can learn the real science behind the magic along with Emily Elizabeth. Experiments include funny mirrors, building a kaleidoscope, magic rainbow glasses, a tornado in a bottle, magic crystals, and more. The set equipment includes a measuring cup, a test tube, and a colorful lab tray. In The Magic School Bus: Science Explosion, a tabletop game suitable for ages 5 and up, the first player to the finish line gets to explode the volcano. There are two games in each box: a matching Clifford Hand Puppet game featuring science-based topic cards, and a memory and strategy skills game. Along with a laminated, two-sided board, Science Explosion includes a volcano, a bowl, colored measuring cups, game cards, and more. Kids can explore sugar and salt crystals, make a crystal star, grow a crystal tree, and more with Growing Crazy Crystals. The kit comes with an observation chart for tracking crystal growth. Scholastic has partnered with Douglas for Clifford the Big Red Dog plush. The line includes Sitting Clifford and Standing Clifford in multiple sizes; a 30-inch Extra Large Lying Down Clifford; a 22-inch Large Floppy Clifford; and an 11-inch Small Lying Down Clifford. Douglas’ Clifford for Baby line includes Sshlumpie, Snuggler, and Hand Puppets. New items for University Games/Briarpatch’s I Spy line include the I Spy Spooky Mansion Game, in which players spot and collect objects located throughout the title mansion. The first to collect an object from every room and escape wins. With the I Spy Find It Fast Hourglass, players read the riddles and try to find hidden under-the-sea images before time runs out. In the I Spy Water Maze Game, players follow the riddles and guide creepy crawly insects through a durable, liquid-filled magnifying glass maze by tilting and turning it.
