Learning Resources Teaches Kids Through Food and Science Fun

he New Sprouts Shop It!, from LEARNING RESOURCES, includes everything kids need to stock and run a pretend store, including a shopping basket, seven play food items, and a price/bar-code scanner with sounds. This set coordinates with New Sprouts Ring It Up! and all new Sprouts play food, and is recommended for kids ages 2 and up. Number Pops and Stack ’em Up Doughnuts are new to Learning Resources’ Smart Snacks line. Smart Snacks Number Pops allows kids ages 2 and up to build number and fine-motor skills with ice cream pops. Smart Snacks Stack ’em Up Doughnuts stack up size comparison and color recognition skills. Kids stack the five doughnuts from biggest to smallest and fit the doughnut hole on top. Little scientists can make discoveries with the Primary Science ViewScope. For kids ages 3 and up, the scope features a soft eyepiece, simple magnification, and a clear case for viewing specimens. This toy helps kids get familiar with the feel of using a microscope. A detachable viewer is included for on-the-go discoveries. The Primary Science Metal Detector features a grippy handle and colorful design. Kids ages 3 and up can play with this detector at the sand table, the beach, or the playground. It lights up and makes a beeping sound when metal objects are detected.
