Games & Puzzles University Games Embarks on a Learning Quest

rain Quest Learning System, from University Games, is a full line of educational games for kids from the preschool level through sixth grade. The games are separated by grade level and children’s education areas, including language arts, math, logic and problem solving, memory, motor skills and coordination, and creativity. Brain Quest Numbers Counting Game is for kids at the preschool and kindergarten level and helps develop math skills. Designed for two to four players, kids use picture cards to perform addition and subtraction problems and earn picture tokens for their scoring boards. No reading is required. The game teaches number recognition and counting skills. Brain Quest Basic Shapes is designed for kids at first and second grade levels and helps develop coordination skills. Using various shapes and colors, kids create new designs and configurations while practicing motor skills and creativity. With 78 Colorforms pieces, kids can keep playing and using their imaginations. No reading skills are required in this game, which can be played alone or in a group. Brain Quest Magnetic Four helps kids in third through sixth grade develop memory skills. Two kids must try to line up four of their colored playing pieces in a row—but they must watch out for the magnetic force that may flip the color of the pieces. In addition to the Brain Quest line, University Games will add Smart Eggs to its roster. Smart Eggs are collectible brain teaser eggs designed with a 3-D maze that will challenge minds. Kids and adults must move the rod from the start hole all the way to the exit hole as fast as they can.

What Goes Around Comes Around with Set Enterprises Inc.

ocial and competitive players alike will enjoy the clever nuances of OY Karma, from Set Enterprises OOK Inc. Karma is an elimination game where everyXCLUSIVE one wins—except the last player holding cards. Two to four players ages 8 and up must play a card of equal or higher value on each turn to avoid picking up the entire discard pile. Players can move through their cards faster by playing doubles or triples. Karma Cards can get players out of a jam—but players must be careful, because what goes around comes around. Similar to wild cards, Karma Cards can be played on any card. There are four different Karma Cards in the game: Players can give the pile to a friend, play a table card early, move the bottom card on the discard pile to the top, or force the next player to play a five or below.
