LITERACY UNITS OF STUDY 2023-2024

While the PYP focuses on transdisciplinary learning and encourages connections across subjects, language is not typically taught as stand-alone units. At TISB, to maintain and build on reading as well as writing skills, parallel and stand alone units of study will be taken up in the literacy lessons scheduled each week However, it is important to note that language skills and understandings developed in these lessons will be transferrable to every PYP unit of inquiry The following is an overview of the units of study for the academic year
