• A yellow jacket might look like a bee with its yellow and black stripes, but it’s really a wasp. A bee has a fuzzy coating on its body, while the yellow jacket does not. A honeybee’s stinger comes out when it stings, but the yellow jacket’s doesn’t, enabling it to sting multiple times. Some of their nests might have as many as 100,000 wasps. They like everything sweet, including fruits, sweet drinks, and other sugary treats on your picnic table.
