inspired by... I like to stitch about the little, but significant, things in life. These little, but really enormous, inspirations are my family, colour and the moments in life that make you truly happy. There are so many amazing people out there that I admire and who inspire me every day. Instagram is a continual source of inspiration, motivation and support. I adore my Instagram buddies. Pip Lincolne of Meet Me at Mikes is someone who I admire and respect. I feel that she has pioneered a comeback of craft for the 21st century via her blog and her work. For a long time I had always felt a little embarrassed of my love of all things crafty. I now embrace my craftiness and celebrate it to the nth degree. I also love the work of Takashii Wasaki. Her use of colour takes my breath away and her embroidery is particularly awe-inspiring. In my eyes she is 100% gasp worthy. Recently I came across the work of Carly Altree-Williams, a contemporary textile artist from Melbourne. I adore her recent work titled ‘Silently By Your Side’. I could go on and on but I would like to make final mention of my husband. He is a sculptor and I continually admire his passion and patience when it comes to his art.
