At a bilateral meeting in Malta between the Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade, Ian Borg and the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry of Ghana, Michael Okyere Baafi, they outlined the fact that several Maltese and Ghanaian companies have reached commercial agreements between them and continued to strengthen the already excellent relationship, in terms of trade, between them

The meeting followed another held in Accra, Ghana, as part of the Business Forum, with the participation of more than 50 Maltese and Gozitan business people

Among the discussions was an agreement of more than €10 million between two companies in chemistry and materials in the construction industry

Minister Ian Borg stressed that their meeting is testimony to the will between the two governments for more potential collaboration. He claimed that the intention for more business between Malta and Ghana is alive and the government needs to continue supporting Maltese and Gozitan businesses to roam and expand their operations overseas

From his end, Minister Michael Okyere Baafi said that his visit to Malta was a clear sign of the strong relationship between the two countries He said that even though a lot has already been achieved, he believed that this partnership could further excel.
