About the Magazine The Ultimate Black Man Magazine was created in 2009 by Author Renetta Cochran, to recognize and honor African American Men for their outstanding accomplishments. A born native of Flint, MI the city he gives credit for birthing his work ethic, hustle mentality and will to win. Raised in a home with both parents and two siblings, his earliest memory was rooting for his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers while sporting his Franco Harris jersey. When asked who influenced him most in his childhood, he stated that it was his dad. He showed him up close what a man and provider for his family looks like. Going to church as a family, influencing extracurricular activities such as sports, mechanics and minor home repairs were just a few of the things exemplified by his dad. When asked, where do you get your ways, we now
know. Scripture says “Build a church on the rock,” Tim Brown, like the church, comes from a firm foundation. An extroverted introvert, his best attributes are his mindset and spirituality, they intertwine as one. He can be a social butterfly sure to connect with everyone in the room and at the same time happy at home or at his favorite cigar lounge, smoking a cigar alone. God is his source and head of his life. He knows that grace and mercy sustains him and has gotten him to where he is today..

Being raised with a solid foundation does not guarantee a great life. Tim is living proof of that.
