Hector Madera I make artwork that explore and react to the ideas of failure and success and the back and forth that goes down between the two. I look for my own personal experiences and for subjects with bizarre stories that highlight the day to day struggles with the occasional favorable outcome. Shameful acts, grandiose moments, unfortunate events, forgotten heroes, insignificant achievements and individuals that are somehow overlooked, are all combined to create an ironic and often contradictory interpretation of the high and lows of the everyday life. hectormaderagonzalez.com
