Damion Wagner

A downtown Los Angeles resident and small business owner since 1997. I have worked as a graphic designer for Guess Jeans on Alameda, internet designer for The LA Times on Spring, live sound engineer at Casey's Irish Pub on Grand, and over a decade of consistent volunteer community service in downtown including Chrysalis on Main and School On Wheels on 7th. As a candidate, my goal is to encourage a safe and clean environment that will unite the diverse people and businesses, lifestyles and cultures of our beautiful city! I look forward to serving Los Angeles Skid Row and Center City East. DTLA!

Wendy Celaya

I currently serve as the Center City East Business Director for the Downtown LA Neighborhood Council (DLANC) and I was elected as Vice President of Communications and Outreach. I was also elected to serve as the Outreach Subcommittee Chair for the 2023 LA Congress of Neighborhoods. I've worked in Skid Row since 2016. My professional background is in Development and Marketing. Working in Skid Row has broadened my understanding of the challenges our communities face. My reason for running for Center City East Business Director came from the realization that each of us can contribute to solutions for pressing issues our local community and government face.

Wendell Blassingame

I’m Wendell Blassingame. The paths I’ve taken in life have led me to be in a position to help uplift Skid Row while maintaining the true essence of what makes it a Community. For the last 12 years, I’ve assisted hundreds of people on their way to stable housing and helped them thrive in a precarious environment by being a solid rock for them in a world of uncertainties. I’ve humbly accepted the alias “Skid Row Fixer”, given to me by the people of Skid Row. Currently, as Central City East Resident Director, I Chair the Urban Needs and Resources Committee where we provide Job Fairs, Maps of Resources and work with City departments to stay on top of public sanitation, clean water, and safety. By having boots on the ground and setting up a booth on San Julian Park in Skid Row daily, I offer people of Skid Row a neutral public space where they can come to me with their concerns. I am seeking re-election and the ability to continue to work hard to improve conditions in Skid Row.

KERI FREEMAN
