Welcome to the Online Teacher Community for Building a Positive Behaviour Culture in Your School

Building a Positive Behaviour Culture in Your School

You are invited to join an online community of practice dedicated to sharing your programme experiences and engaging in professional conversations about applying it within your classroom or school. This opportunity holds great promise for personal and professional growth.

Some of the reasons for participating within this group of likeminded teachers:

1 Knowledge Sharing: One of the most exciting aspects of this community is the opportunity to learn from fellow educators who have first-hand experience with the programme. Sharing insights, strategies, and best practices can greatly enhance your understanding of the programme and how to effectively implement it in your own educational context. David, our facilitator, will be adding in relevant insights as you go through this journey

2 Collaboration: Collaborative learning is a powerful tool in education. Being a part of this community allows you to collaborate with like-minded professionals, exchange ideas, and work to develop innovative approaches to programme implementation.

3 Professional Growth: Engaging in professional conversations with experienced educators can contribute significantly to your professional development. Learning from others' successes and challenges can help you to refine your teaching methods and stay current with the latest trends and research in education.

4 Problem-Solving: As with any educational programme, challenges may arise during implementation. This community provides a platform where you can seek advice and solutions from educators who have faced similar issues. It's an invaluable resource for troubleshooting and finding effective strategies.

5 Support and Encouragement: Teaching can sometimes be a solitary endeavour, and it's easy to feel isolated. Joining this community provides a network of colleagues who can offer support, encouragement, and motivation.

6 Reflection and Feedback: Engaging in professional conversations allows for reflection on your teaching practices. Constructive feedback from peers can help refine your approaches, identify areas for improvement, and ultimately enhance your teaching effectiveness.

7 Staying Informed: Education is an ever-evolving field, with new developments and technologies emerging regularly. This community provides a space to stay informed about the latest trends, research, and resources that can benefit your classroom and school.

How to access the discussion group

You will be brought directly to your course once signed in.

There are two areas where you can participate in community discussions. If you are in the “Path” view, which is where the Positive Behaviour online course is displayed, you will see a “Learners” and a “Discuss” view as well.

The “Learners” view is where you will see all those teachers participating in the course. This is a closed group, so only those taking the course have access. If you click on a particular “Learner” you have the option of linking in with them directly.

When you click on “Discuss” you will be in the community forum and will have the opportunity to comment about the content or add in any other relevant material or indeed links. David will be overseeing this section so please feel free to ask questions.
