By Jennifer Cupido One of my earliest childhood memories is walking down a cold dark staircase in the early morning towards the light. I would walk into the living room to find my mother on the couch with a cup of coffee and a blanket over her knees reading her Bible. It all seemed so normal and easy to find my mother up before everyone else each morning reading her Bible. Then I flash forward to becoming a mother myself with four children under five, wondering how I would ever be able to wake up before my kids - let alone read an entire chapter of the Bible and have enough of my brain functioning that early in the morning to gain some resemblance of a “revelation”!

a different approach to your devotions. God spoke so much revelation to my heart as I would read Bible stories to my kids each night. The simplicity of Scripture in children’s Bibles would literally bring me to tears. God is in the everyday moments of our lives you just have to pay attention and lift your eyes to His.

PRACTICAL TIPS Get creative with your devotions; download a Bible app to have it at your fingertips all day and read a verse every time you look at your phone. Play worship music in the car, read Bible stories to your children and pray, pray and pray some more! If you set your heart on Christ and make your relationship with Him a focus in your life, you’ll never run out of ways to spend time with Him. THE CHRISTIAN LIFESTYLE
